No surprise there... Corbjin and Depeche Mode are almost the same entity.
Does this mean Ian Curtis will appear wearing S&M garb, silver sequined pants, and little angel wings? At least we know where Corbijn got the emergency completion funds now.

maybe they will now have Martin Gore do covers of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" and "Atmosphere"... maybe Depeche Mode can do a campy version of "She's Lost Control" with Gahan on vocals... just think how much Depeche Mode could improve this soundtrack:\ohwell:

I think Isolation or She's Lost Control would be great in Gahan's voice 
Martin Gore is a brilliant songwriter. He has written some of the best songs of the past two decades, in my opinion.
Thts awesome that he helped fund control, especially given that New Order and thier fans have childishly slagged his work off over the years. Marrtins got some class.

In the late 80s, werent New Order always accusing DM of ripping them off?
Also, this has nothing to do with New Order, but I have heard UK NO fans make some comments about DM being nancy boys. I suppose thos must have to do with DMs choice of black leather gear back in the 80s, right?
Now then, Dm did have a ridiculous way of dressing back in the day...
But have you seen some of the stuff that NO wore? Its hardly better. I mean, no leather dresses, but Ive seen emembers of NO wearing some really tacky outfits.

On the subject of garments...Any New Order fashion blunders hardly compare with gimp-wear favoured by Depeche Mode..
New Order actually look and dress,comfort-stylish on stage these days I reckon..Smart shirts, jeans, trainers...Maybe because they can move about better it their clobber, than in a Martin Gore PVC number..Not sure about Steve on drums, who does'nt dance as much as Barney..Nothing stopping him wearing the old sequinced hoochie shorts.What's his excuse?

Well yeah, I agree. But in Depeche Mode, it was mainly only Martin who wore the PVC gimpwear. I always thought it fit him. DM were and still are a very theatrical band, on record and in thier live shows. I like that. I mean, I do think Martin looks silly, but at the same time, I think Martin knows he looks silly. He is jsut being theatrical and having fun, the way Bowie did. I actually thought th outfits Martin wore on thr Songs of Faith and Devotion and the Exciter Tours were pretty awesome.
Beyond that, it doesnt matter. Martin Gore is a brilliant songwriter. I saw him play solo in LA in 2003, and it was a beautiful show. He did a bunch of Depeche Mode songs as just voice and piano numbers and they sounded really beautiful. I met him after the show, and he was the nicest, sweetest guy. Very friendly, and very humble.
I actually think that New Order and Depech Mode are equally important and were equally innovative in terms of comdining rock and electronics.
As for New Order, yeah. I agree. I actually thought at some points back int he 80s they ere quite stylish. I liked when Barney wore black plo shirts with white jeans and adidas tennis shoes. I liked the white NO tour shirt and white jeans barney wore at gigs circa 1987. Gillian looks very stylish in some photos, especially the Perfect Kiss video.
Actually, I really liked the way Barney was dressed at the Fall 06 UK and South America shows. White adidas shoes, jeans, and nice black button down dress shirt, or polo shirt. Very stylish.
That is so cool! New Order and Depeche Mode are equally favorites of mine. I know Martin Gore likes New Order although I'm not sure what New Order thinks of Depeche Mode.

Depeche Mode and U2 are my fave bands of all time.
New Order is a very very very close second.
