Age of Consent is great. ...But I find The Village and Leave me alone equally great. My first pick from PCL is The Village though.

I figure I may as well say something on my behalf.
As usual I post a topic which gets antagonized by the loud minority of posters on this board. That's fine with me. I'm used to it. I myself chuckled at some of the criticisms of this post......Let's review

-Hmm. Isn't that the point of any thread. To have a discussion about it? This is a message board where we discuss the band we love. Would you rather I post a boring thread which doesn't do anything for anybody? Sorry, don't think i'm going to do that. Not intentionally at least.

-All I can say about that is that it is just not true. If you actually read the threads you would find plenty that I've commented on. These days I comment more on already existing threads than start my own! That I never contribute to other threads is just purely wrong....Read other posts and you'll find my input.

-I'm sorry that I'm an individual and that i have a mind of my own. I'm sorry that some songs don't do it for me that they do for you. Also, if you got my post, it was a point-counterpoint thread giving arguments for both why it is great or underrated, as I'm just a bit not sure. I like AOC quite a bit, but it's not one of my favorite NO songs. I much prefer Way Of Life, Weirdo, Sooner Than You Think, Vanishing Point, and Guilt Is A Useless Emotion....Some posters are exhibiting a pure "herd mentality" that if you hold an opinion different of the majority than you're a "twat"....Well sorry people, some of you may be sheep. I certainly am not.
I've gotten love from this board as well as criticism. It just seems that the people who criticize are the few who are the most vocal. To those who actually contributed to this thread with their opinion and kept it professional and not personal, I thank you for that (that includes you Tim, I enjoyed your response a lot). To those to bashed me simply because they wanted to seem cool on the message board and feel better about themselves, keep hating! That's all you know how to do anyway.

One of their few songs that could wake the dead. Never overrated and sorely missed on the live set.
To be fair some of the abuse MLANH gets is over the top (even if his rubbish threads do invite it)

I just listened to PC&L from beginning to end for the first time in ages. I can confirm Age of Consent is the best opening track to a New Order album.
In my most humble opinion, AOC is so great that I listen to it every day, when I get off of work. It actually brings a smile to my face every time I hear it. I get a good laugh out of it [particularly the lyrics!], and I can sing along to it and just have a ball. I love that song!
In fact, I'm listening to it right now! :D
