Come on everybody, get over to Marty's site!!! The BNP have just won a seat in Burnley. What the hell is wrong with this country and particularly the North?!? Can't people remember what happened in the 1980's and the 1990's? I've started a thread on Marty's site on which we can talk about what's happened and what can be done so if you're angry or worried or desperate come on over and let's try to turn this country around before we end up like France!!!

By the time Room 101 hits I'm never going to want to see a computer or type anything again! Janaki, maybe I could send you an audio tape or mp3 file with my contributions and you could transcribe for me? ;)

For what are you going back to school? I just started back after three years of working. I'm not sure which is worse. I'm hoping to marry rich!! I've tried to tempt some of my classmates to drop out and start a band but no luck so far. My classmates are nerds. I'm the only cool one.
And to get me to dance- well that takes a lot. Usually in the form of alcohol and lovely ladies in provocative outfits! this would be me 
anyway. Does that count? But at least I know I'm on beat.

i take it you're a full-time student, then? no such luck for me...will still be working full-time and attending school part-time. which of course will not help my mental state any. 
i'll probably be back studying Japanese again, as i was before. maybe do some comp sci on the side. not sure yet. back at the very beginning of my incredibly screwed up collegiate career, i WAS studying sound engineering. :D then, through various twists and turns of fate, i ended up doing an attempt at a double in Japanese and Spanish instead (possible minor in Chinese, but i never got that far...yet, anyway. ;) ). i got along with some classmates and killed ignored the ones with whom i didn't, so it went pretty well.
i used to not be much of a dancer either. and i still wouldn't class me as "good." but i'm less self-conscious than i used to be, and therefore don't really care so much. and i know that at least i've got rhythm, too. ;) though alcohol doesn't hurt. but i'm seriously not much of a drinker. am in fact a total lightweight. though lately i end up going to sleep before i can get properly drunk...which might really be better off for everyone involved!

There was a 'At Home with Ozzy' show on Channel 5 here a few years ago which was totally hilarious - anyone else see it? His kids were indeed total geeks and kept telling him off for swearing at the dinner table

I love Ozzy, and I'm very proud of the fact that I share my birthday with him - I always raise a toast to Ozzy :D

awww, i wish you had cable too, Kezzie! if only for one episode in particular...i don't watch the show very much (though it's on nearly 24 hours a day here, it seems...*shakes fist at eMpTV* ), but there's one episode...
without giving too much away, the Osbourne family's new neighbours begin annoying them by playing their music too loud and too obnoxiously.
also, all the interactions with the family's small pet dogs are entertaining.
i share a birthday with Eric Serra. and i'm very proud of it. :D

I'm concerned about the role of "percussion demolition." I need to know it's not some horrible two-drummer situation a la Grateful (I can't sully this forum by completing the name), .38 Special, Allman Brothers thing.
Listen up dude - it doesn't take much to work out what that means.
Percussion = drums, toms, cymbals, stands, sticks, tamborines, cowbells, etc.
Demolition = tumbing over, breaking in two, coming loose at the seams, collapsing, falling off stage, etc.
That's what my role in the fooking band is!
But if you think I actually enjoy that, then you're very much mistaken.... ;)
