I know its inevitable, but I find something depressing about catagorising music by decade. It's like the further away it recedes in time the more stuff that at the time seemed to have nothing in common all gets lumped together. Hence we get 80's nostalgia shows with New Order rubbing shoulders with the likes of Bonnie Tyler or T'Pau (shudder!).
Does the 80's music still rule?

Riiiiight,so how I'm understanding this, please forgive my schooled upbringing, ignorance & the fact that I've obviously been counting wrong all these years,is that the '80's actually doesn't include songs before 01/01/81,as this wasn't the '80's????? Even tho' it has '8' in the title?? So Joy Division actually didn't release anything in the '80's/ Fook me,I'm such a fookin' moron!!!![]()
