but really, the ambiguity of their lyrics is part of their brilliance.

the BLT diff between "I don't think you're what you seem" vs "I don't picture what you see" is quite telling and an interesting (and similar) read both ways.

in Spooky there is some slippage between "let's defend/define the things we say" that gets at the point I am making.

what if it's right BOTH ways?

Sorry... But I thought on Crystal barney was singing:

"here comes love, It's like Honey You CAN buy it with money"

Thereby making a cynical comment about money and success leading to all the adulation and women (or men) a man could ever want. It kind of fits with all of his previous lyrical musings about how fickle the Love/money relationship is.
