Absolutely. Like I said, it's what separates us from Cure fans. The Tube theme from Freebass was quite promising, so I'm still holding out hope for them.

maybe. But I'm a little bit disapointed by this first Freebass number. It's not really a surprise and i'm not very enthousiastic. It's britpop. Nothing more. I was expecting something better than this... Well, it's just a beginning,i guess....

Actually, "Peter Hook, My Space" should also be the lyrics to this track.

yeahh, agree....if they read this thread, well... too bad for them, if they don't like what everybody says or thinks. But it doesn`t mean we have to shut up for something.

For instance, i hate when they include voices of girls in the songs.....world,subculture,someone like you. Except for Jetstream cause Ana Matronic did a great job in the song.

However i liked the new stuff.

Is not in that way, some people said they liked the new stuff and i'm happy to find the new stuff. But it's a question of respect all the points of view....but if people can`t express themselves, what is nool forum about??

Complaining about free demos from a member of the band... Geez, some are never happy (and I thought I was negative).

The Warsaw song is amateur (it was their first year) and obviously a low quality recording, but you gotta like the aggression of Ian's vocal which shows a different side of the developing Ian along with that aggressive bass that propels the song. I can see how Peter likes it. With that bass it doesn't sound all that unoriginal to me. It's fun to hear tracks like this. Especially for free, hopefully Joy Division won't be exploited too much for a few rare demo tracks in the future.

As for the Freebass, let him have some fun.

In fairness, it IS Hooky, Mani, and Rourke. There's plenty of talent there.

The FREEBASE track sounds really promising. You can actually hear the different band influences on the sound. They seem to mesh well together. Would like to hear a mix with vocals though. Maybe needs more cowbell.

Reaction sounds a bit distorted but that's 1977 for you... no mp3 players with record button invented yet. Otherwise it's a treat to hear from any band (especially Warsaw) early in it's career so that you can listen closely for small hints of what was soon to come.

At fookin last someone shares my opinion, I'd have expected there were more people here who could enjoy a good old punk song (it's great! try to sing it!), and who cares about fookin sound quality, since when did it matter in punk? He loves, like me, the scene when Jon The Postman and people from Factory bands sing Louie Louie. It was the singer's birthday, a sort of special gig with long encores packed with classic punk covers with lots of guests and I told him I was drunk enough that if they did Louie Louie I might have taken the mic. Well I fookin did, it was the last song and it was great, people pogoed like mad fuckers, I was WILDER than Jon The Postman, I never thought I could sing like that. And actually I have woken up with no voice left. But happy. Just try. Sing Louie Louie like Jon The Postman. Rediscover your inner punk. And then you can comment Reaction again.

Why isn't the fact these songs can be heard on the home page news of NOOL? Certainly Reaction surfacing is an event worth a big title...

BTW I'm sure Hooky is old and wise enough to take some criticism and I'm sure he prefers to hear negative opinions before the final recording and try to adjust something rather than fake appreciation and poor sales after the release... When it's time to defend him I'll certainly do it, I'll always be on the Revenge side, that's my favourite side project. But when it's time to say well Pete, it's OK but... is OK enough for someone who's almost always been special? I'm sure he has no problem, right Hooky? ;)
