Had a chance to listen to this today, nicely done.
Found myself transported for a moment by Sketch For Summer. That's a Blue Monday-esque happy accident of a song if the story is to be believed. Supposedly Hannett pressed some button on some new piece of equipment and it just started making that twittering sound unprompted. Vini picked up his guitar and started playing along, 20 minutes later and the song was written.
Maconie completely fucked it up by segueing it with WIM, but there you go.

Well, you could always use a sound recording program to record from "what you hear", i.e. the soundcard! 
(That's what I do, anyway)...

Well, you could always use a sound recording program to record from "what you hear", i.e. the soundcard!
(That's what I do, anyway)...

Didn't realise it were Linux only! 
For those who are interested, you can download the interview segment interspersed with various Factory tracks in MP3 format here (link at the bottom); 50mb = 55 minutes. I put it through Cool Edit and LAME this evening.
The quality's reasonable considering it's a compression of a compressed stream.
After Maconie introduces Steve he plays some records plus the news so if you skip to 10:50 that's where the interview properly begins.

Well, I was refering to getting a direct copy of the original data, but yes of course, you can do it that way. Actually tried it myself the other night, but wavelab refused point blank for some reason. It would have been easier as it was a total whore to get the right URL. Once I got the genuine link to the realmedia stream, THAT'S where linux comes into it's own.... you just tell the mediaplayer to stream out to wav.
