If it was Mason, he won't need to go to work again - must be the major contributor as far as I've read. The source of some lovely reposts by Barney too. That's so wrong - leave it in.

Time IS money.. and if David Nolan is going to be making money on his book using other person's information.. then.. I can see how valuable a contributing person's time can be.

I would guess it was Wilson. I know he didn't come cheap for "public appearances". And when he DJ'd in Glasgow last year he insisted on a suite in One Devonshire Gardens. I remember thinking at the time how un-punk that stipulation was!

I dont think it was Wilson, he gets a mention in the acknowledgements and he makes reference to an interview he did with him the day before he had his Kidney removed.

Yeah but am I right? I've not got the book so no idea who's credited and who isn't. Picked it up in Borders but it looked as though I could've read it in an hour so I stuck it back on the shelf. I'll wait til it's four quid on Amazon.

Chris Hewitt Hookys one time business partner in Cargo and the man who has released the Leigh Festival and Hannett Remix C.D. stated to me personally at the Who Killed Martin Hannett book launch that it was in fact............. his former business partner. He should know as he was interviewed for both books as well.

I used to work for Tony on In The city. He was very, very generous with his time and used to get loads of people asking him to do loads of stuff.

He had an London based agent and a booking fee which I think was supposed to be a couple of grand but certainly in the north west he'd do talks for nowt.

At the same time, he liked his creature comforts and if someone was willing to pay for a decent hotel room and good flights then that'd help.

There's no way he'd have invoiced Nolan to contribute to the book.
