you must be joking.

Not in the slightest, I would much rather have 90 mins of BLT, Toothache and Temptation for one last time than 30 mins of butchered JD alone.

ditto!

what do you think??

N.

I hope this will happen! Surely Gillian could re learn her synth parts for one final show, especially seeing as how it will be in Manchester.

It'd be cool to have Gillan and Phil play, actually......imagine how full it would sound!

My Ideal Set List.

  1. Regret
  2. Krafty
  3. Love Vigilantes
  4. Ceremony
  5. Crystal
  6. Waiting For the Sirens Call
  7. Your Silent Face
  8. Everythings Gone Green
  9. Touched By the Hand of God
  10. Confusion
  11. Guilt is a Useless Emotion
  12. Fine Time
  13. Temptation
  14. Bizarre Love Triangle
  15. True Faith
  16. The Perfect Kiss
  17. Blue Monday

ENCORE

  1. In a Lonely Place
  2. Atmosphere
  3. Heart and Soul
  4. Transmission
  5. Love Will Tear Us Apart

SECOND ENCORE

  1. Age of Consent
  2. World in Motion (Loud, drunken, fun, crazy, loose, chaotic version)

One can dream. They could actually play this setlist....they have all of the above songs programmed on thier current equipment and I think it covers every single album.

As long as it ain't gonna take place this year, mind ... cos I'm busy!

I really hope this is next year & not the weekend of the Melbourne GP - absolutely fantastic news. Definitely want to be there for this.

It would be great to see Gillian play with the band again. Only seen her play live once back in 89.

Ideal line up for the WIlson gig would be

  1. New order playing as Joy Division (half hour set)
  2. New Order (hour and half set)
  3. Section 25
  4. Happy Mondays
  5. Duritti Column

Going to see the Mondays in Notts on the 27/9. Not sure what it'll be like, but should be a good crack (no pun intended)

Barney and Steve may not let Hookey back into the band.

IF this does happen, woulnd't it be nice if the members of this forum got the chance to pre book our tickets? could one of the "sources close to the band" maybe enquire about it? i know its alongshot but its worth a try isn't it:thumb:

very funny! seriously though i think someone should at least give it a try,i'd be gutted if i missed it,i'd love to fly all over the world like you do but i don't think my other half'd be too impressed, for one thing she thinks they're sh*te:evil4:

Sure ! Why not have snakepit-passes like those rusty rockers Metallica used to have at their concerts ?! I'd rather not.. long hair makes sneeze !

While they're at it, those "close to the band", can perhaps also enquire about backstage passes for all, a meet and greet, having our favourite drinks on the rider, ...

Let's face it, if it happens it'll be an aircraft hangar of a venue - doubt anyone will miss out on tickets!

Hooky's latest blog:

"Can I just clear up this Manchester Evening News Article. In a conversation with Oliver Wilson about a tribute gig for his father, he asked me what the chances were of getting New Order to perform. I said, "Seeing as we have just split up, pretty slim.", he then said to me "If I could get the others to agree, would you do it?", I said "In honour of your father, I'd do anything."

This means I would sell the popcorn, take the tickets, sweep up after, play bass in New Order/Joy Division/Crawling Chaos.

I do wish that people would read things properly before mouthing off. I am definately going to have to learn to keep my big fat mouth shut (but I blame the bloody press!). And as Tony would say "Fuck em!"

P.S My beautiful daughter Heather is doing the typing, hence no mistakes, and beautiful punctuation and spelling. (I did the last blog as well!!)"
