Downloaded last night. This is how I like covers of New Order tracks.

Always been a fan of Radiohead, not a massive fan but I have three or four of their albums.

Cracking version, well done lads :viking:

Not bad, but it's a bit too close.

I'm with you on this, but since they're not releasing it and just want to play it I guess, then why not.

If it's a cover it should be close to the original. Remixes are for fcuked up / nothing like the original versions :thumb:

Come on Shug... this is not the type of cover you would listen often since the original will do the job.

If you want to do a cover identical to the original (Tom Yorke even does a Bernard voice of circa-1980!), do weddings, not stage :p

But yes, they did it for fun, not to commercialize it.

But a good oover of Ceremony for me is what the Echoing Green did... that's the same song, but they made it their own... just not copycat the original.

But I know it was not the point there.

You'll still not change my mind mate, this is exactly the type of thing that will get heavy rotation on a compilation with other classic covers (some featured on a couple of NOOL Productions) :thumb:

You were quick enough to change yer pants over our version of Leave Me Alone and insisted on its release, against our wishes!

Really?! Pity he couldn't have picked a better one! I enjoyed it at the time, and it's a good recording, but you can hear the band's frustration with the crowd grow during the show.

He said so in a recent interview but I can't find a link

You got me there!!!

I still love it.

And I assure you that most of the time it comes up on my iPod I have to ask myself if it's Digital or NO... until Jim's vocals kick in.

So do I! And it's even worse on 24 Hours until my second guitar part starts. Notebooks out plagiarists, it's not healthy.

I saw the video when this thread was posted, and I couldn't believe that I haven't posted anything about it. That cover is so wicked!

I didn't see anyone mention it here, but Radiohead also covered 2 other songs that day, a Smiths song and Bjork.

Here's The Headmaster Ritual
