wasn't this the show (Edgbaston) they came on n did LWTUA 1st song for Grettons B'day or was that the Imperial cinema show

9th May 83 was Tower Ballroom Edgbaston, I was there 3 days after my own birthday.
Barney in Bundeswher vest and on the Pernod and Orange, oh and Temptation there is the best version I have heard 
The next night at Hanley was a completely different set, those where the days, not an auto cue in sight

It's cool! A typical early Order gig you could say in that the whole thing's over and done with in under an hour. It's great to hear the crowd roaring when they kick off with LWTUA and man, the whole set's played a good deal faster than on record. Barney gets the lyric wrong in several places too! I've just burnt this to CD for my collection.

That was Tolworth, two months before the Birmingham gig.
The Birmingham gig was awful apart from Temptation, great buzz when they started playing LWTUA but it was possibly the worst version ever, a surefire contender for the "No Gillian, you put your fingers there" Award!
Isn't confusion missing from this blog post - a shame as it's a great shambolic early gig - everything played at the speed of light!
