Have to agree with Steve Morris in Retro's sleevenotes, in that I always equate Fine Time with Christmas - I bought it in HMV on Northumberland Street in Newcastle on December the 10th (I think), Christmas deco everywhere - and it had a nice colourful sleeve of E tablets. Nice. The track even has bells in it.
F*** me, you're right. I'll never listen to that song with the same ears again! Stick a kiddies choir on and it's made for chrimbo. I'm now imagining Santa doing the spoken vocal..
