This is an idea to start speculating on what you would want on an eventual Low-Life Remastered BONUS CD.
IN NO WAY THIS MEAN THIS PROJECT EXISTS, it's just for fun, and so we can eventually send the list to the labels so they would consider it, maybe.
But just maybe.
So, LOW-LIFE 1985... what the hell would you want on a BONUS CD? rare tracks? live gig... what?

What he said. Plus we should be spoilt for choice with the gig, we have dozens of superb quality recordings, and one or two decent performances too. Birmingham 85 would be my personal choice for the gig, they started the set with 6 Low Life songs. Only two more gigs in 85 had more from the album, and one of those is a US show that nobody has access to.
Maybe the Salvation tracks should be on that one as well?
I doubt they will remaster the Salvation! soundtrack ;)

The full 12" version of TPK please, but more important: the edit of the album version could be so much better. When Bernard finishes the chorus (around 2:26 in the version I'm listening now) you can clearly see where it was "cut" from the single version. That's the part in the original single where he would start singing "When you are alone at night..." (i think) and actually you can hear the very beginning of the word "When" being sung. Can a remaster fix that?

The 12" of the Perfect Kiss, and... Possibly the full version of Eligia, though that would waste disc space somewhat, but I'd much rather have... Exclusive remixes, and/or rerecordings, and... a solid interview, at least 15 minutes where they talk about nothing but the album.

Actually, I liked that edit. It sounds like "Whoa!" rather than "When..." That is how I always hear it.

I'm sure I'm the only one who wants that. Most folk seem quite sniffy about remixes, (probably something to do with rock authenticity). But I have enough live stuff on bootlegs already (and if they release anything officially that just means more butchered boots on Dime with tracks cut out of them! The Retro live disk did more harm than good if you ask me!)

Could you actually listen to 15 minutes of interviews? Would you listen to it again after the first time? Bernard isn't exactly forthcoming about the past, or anything for that matter. Seems embarassed by his "indie" days before he became a "pop star" for "real" with Electronic.
I wonder if there are alternate versions of songs in existance like "Perfect Kiss"? Seems like New Order just worked hard to finish songs as they were. Maybe there are some hidden gems... but that is prolly doubtful.
Cherry pick some fine live renditions from the era, and songs like "When I'm With You"... many live versions are excellent and a unique example of a creative band

I'm not a big fan of the NO Salvation tracks except for Let's Go and TBTHOG. Well... I won't complain if they do include these tracks in the proposed Low-Life Remasters, for they are still songs of New Order. But then, they were recorded between Low-Life and Brotherhood, with the exception of TBTHOG. So probably split the tracks.

I would vote for Birmingham '85, or live versions of the PFD Live in Tokyo songs.

i THINK YOUR 2.26SEC IDEA is read wrong.THAT WAS THE MIX! THAT"S GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH REMASTEREING.OR MAYBE IT HAS? the guitar mix on TECHNIQUE album was never quite full on songs like RUN or DREAM ATTACK. Does anyone know of of any accoustic/stripped-back covers/live stuff of this song.
Full Toronto 85 dvd. I can't wait to get the clip on the Glasgow dvd. I gather it is a good performance.
