Weren't, um, Richard and Judy two of his closest friends?!

Of course, what would be much better for a proper Wilson day would be to have loads and loads of complete strangers there who never actually met the bloke!

Everyone who attends should at least be cool.

Madley isn't cool, so he's off the list.

End of.

The whole thing sounds like bollocks. A workshop where p[eople with invites get to swap ideas with "celebs?". Makes me want to puke.

He's got his legacy, thats In the City. Leave it at that.

They were. They actually cancelled their show to attend his funeral.

Mr. Wilson was a big Manchester United fan, and he was great friends with Sir Alex Ferguson. They also shared very many political beliefs.

But yes, I have to agree, the sharing of ideas sounds like utter shite. We need one massive party, and if NO don't get back together just for this then they're a fookin' disgrace. They should have done it fir the Cancer gig, it was after all what killed the man.

You've got to be joking man. NO have been my life for as long as I can remember. I'm quite prepared to put up with ten Slow Jams or five Piss-streams for one Crystal or another Krafty.

They may be old farts, but there's still magic in them, if only they fooking sort themselves out.

Richard & Judy knew Wilson back in his early Granada days when they were all up and coming journalists. Great mates so to speak. Alex knew Wilson also through journalistic commitments with Granada.

Richard Madeley spoke at Wilson's funeral. He was touching and funny. We had a chat afterwards and he was sound. He, Wilson and Judy go way back.

I like the concept of the seminar - tony was first and foremost about ideas. There's a good debate about this on the Guardian's music blogs.
