Best selling 12" of all time and its selling for over £30!!! I know its the original press with the silver inlay but a few years ago there were loads of these in a 2nd hand record shop in Nottigham selling for 99p. Might have to back there see if theres some left

You'd make quite a bit of cash if you could find some! :smoking:

Silver inlay ? Mine is black, with "blue tuesday" in the run-off grooves. I take it mine is not an original ?

There are many variations. I have a die-cut sleeve with silver inner, die-cut with black inner, non die-cut with silver inner (fully signed). So you never can tell. The run off grooves are the give away about originality.

...not only will there be none left, the record shop itself has probably gone, as many have done over the last few years. Hence the eBay prices.

Too true. Unfortunatley most good independant records shops are now closing. I have to mail order most of my records nowadays from Sister Ray in LOndon or Warp. I miss spending hours trawlingg through old records shops!

Very well conserved!

I have a die-cut sleeve with black inner. The run off grooves are "Out voted!" (A side) and "Ho El & Tel!" (B side). This was the first pressing, isn't true? http://www.niagara.edu/neworder/singles/bm.html

Yep it's a first pressing!

So come on then. If you had a spare that you were looking to get rid of, what's the MOST you'd accept for it?

Damn good question, Niagara states:

Groove notation:

12" UK 1st pressing (A): "Out Voted!" (B): "Ho El & Tel!"

12" UK 2nd pressing (A): "The Robot" (B): "The Robot"

12" UK 3rd pressing (A): "Where's Murder?" (B): "I Said Where's Murder?"

So, I'd guess it's pressing 1 1/2 :)

Got the die cut with a silver inner and the non die cut with black inner.Labels are reversed on the die cut copy.

Steve Wright played it this arvo. Not my choice of radio station but that's what they had on at work.Still , better than Edith fcuking Bowman.
