At the wettest gig EVER......

According to our correspondent on the front line, El Jarvo: Close Range, True Faith and Rock the Shack were all listed on the setlist but weren't played. He says they are all drenched with the rain !!
Well...again, no big surprises then. But it seems to be a very short set for a headlining act ?!?!? According to the timetable they were supposed to play 1 hour and 15 minutes 
They left out True Faith in the Vancouver set list as well. I think when it rains, Barney calls it quits early. Even in Vancouver, as soon as Barney was done singing Blue Monday, he just walked off stage, leaving the band to finish the song alone. So I wouldn't read to much into this, he just doesnt like to play in the rain.

Hey ! World in Motion will be played just when England revenge Brazil. But New Order gigs are very short now,don´t you find them ? I was at Finsbury park and it was the last time they played a long set. It seems they are in 1980 or 1981 times again.
Get ready for the new album.

Paris and Finsbury Park were both 105 minutes, two of the longest gigs they have ever done. 13 songs in the pissing rain at Hurricane will still have been 75 minutes, which isn't bad for a festival gig. You have to remember that the songs live are a lot longer than the recorded versions !
As for playing World in Motion, I don't think people will be buying World Cup records now, and the re-release was the only reason for dragging this one up again, surely ?
Revenge isn't an issue when we lose fair and square, only an issue against enemies. Brazil aren't an enemy :)

...AND, "World in Motion" wasn't re-released in Germany and isn't planned either...

Not sure there's much of a market for English football records in Germany, other than Three Lions !!!!!! (or should that be 5 Lions ? ;))
Just back from Hurricane:
I think they shortened the gig because they were already delayed for half an hour because of the heavy rain and they ought to play the next day ... well right now I guess ... at Southside Festival.
By the way: Not only that Hooky went several times to the wet and uncovered part of the stage so he got wet, but also Bernie lay down at the end of the gig on that part and "bathed" in the rain for a while so both were as wet as the audience. I don't think I have ever seen or will ever see any comparible sign of compassion to the fans by any other band.
