oh so that's where that "making out" instrumental version of V.P. stems from, then? (pardon my ignorance but i'm not familiar w. said series) i really love that version, actually, maybe even better than the album version.

Yup, it originally appeared on Making Out (a slightly different version than the instrumental version that appeared on the Round & Round single).

(weird, I went to submit this and it just erased the message...I guess what I have to say isn't worth a crap lol)

I went with Vanishing Point. SLY is a good song but VP is a great song. In my last message that was deleted I went into some detail how Vanishing Point, Mr. Disco and Dream Attack should have been the singles from Technique.

Vanishing Point has great lyrics and it's named after a cool cult film. Can't lose there.

That's happened to me a few times, I think it's due to taking so long before submitting the post, probably Nicks way of cutting out long winded rubbish comments.

I always select and copy the text if I think I might have taken too long, then I can just paste it back if it gets lost.

I think the four singles from technique should have been, in this order

Fine Time (it IS incredibly catchy and fun to dance to. It made me buy Technique).
Vanishing Point.
Round and Round
Mr. Disco

Someone Like You had a lot of potential - especially as a 2nd single from Get Ready - but I'm convinced they lost it somewhere during the mixing period; it just sounds like a really drab track for some reason and the excessive backing vox always ruins it for me.

Big fan of the trancetastic James Holden Dub, in fact gonnae stick it on the iPod just now :nod:

As for VP... pure bliss and the clear winner here

Cannae mind who did the futureshock vocal mix of SLY (Gabriel & Dresden???) that's a good version of it.

Vanishing Point = GREAT, FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL, GODLIKE. Someone Like You = SHITE, CROCK, PANTS, ARSEQUAKE.

You must be completely mad to even think about mentioning these two songs in the same breath. :nono: :rolleyes:
