It's springtime over here in Holland, sun's been out for a couple days now and i find myself giving 'Technique' a lot of rotation on my mp3-player. It just goes great with weather and my mood...mr. disco/dream attack/round&round, i love those tracks.

Does any of around here have te same? do some tracks/albums of NO get more playtime from you when the sun's out? if so, which ones?

Or do u drag them out more when it's winter/autumn?

good question - I think I play NO/JD consistently in all seasons, moods and weather. Having said that, Regret does take me back to a particularly great spring/summer based on what was going on in my life back in 1993.

You have inspired me to dig out Technique today however, since the sun is also shining here and I haven't played that one in ages.

Republic(Some of it) and Technique are deffinitely summer albums. Since I live in Florida, by the gulf coast, I can relate to the imagery of the republic era very easily. Though I find PCL and WFTSC to be my spring albums. Get Ready always reminds me of winter for some odd reason. And the retro fan disc is an every season for me.

Unknown Pleasures, Closer, and Get Ready are all definately Winter and Fall for me....Get Ready fall...Closer is definately dead of winter....I find The Eternal, Heart and Soul, and Decades to be very comforting to listen to during the Winter.

Technique is definately the ultimate Sunny Day in Spring or Summer Record...WFTSC is definately Spring as well...specially as it came out in the Spring of 05....I must have listened to it everyday that Spring.

Republic is a rainy day Spring record, or an end of summer record..

Low Life is Fall for sure.......

I like listening to Republic in the Summer. Reminds me of the Summer between my Junior/Senior year in High school. The days when you are completely carefree and feel on top of the world... driving my car down to the beach and back... getting lost driving, but not caring because you had good music blaring through the speakers... I ,ust have played Republic over a 1000 times that Summer.

Technique plays automatically in my car any time the sunroof opens.

Arm out of the window, sunroof open, Technique blaring, that is Summer

Well, you don't get a tan like this for nothing

Oh i dunno , the first time i ever listened to Technique was on a cold , bleak , rainy Monday in early January 1989.So i always associate it with the bleak midwinter

Low Life on the other hand reminds me of the smell of first cut of summer lawns in May.Sitting in the garden replaying over and over again what Peely had aired for the first time in May 85.

I was thinking that - shirley Technique is a 'new year' record?!

For summer, I generally get the shorts and t-shirts out. Just saying like.

None of this stuff makes sense. I bought "PC&L" in the summer of 1988, and as such (even though that was a shite summer) its always a 'summer' record to me. So much so that when I was on the bus back from work yesterday on the first good day of the year the ipod was set straight to said record.

Well, it was either that of "Foxbase Alpha".....

Haven't listened to any NO for at least 18 month

Except wot Sarah played at JG's Bday.

But certainly wouldn't bother looking out the window at the weather if I was to play some
