It's a wet boring Wednesday, i need a poll to cheer me up. Best song by a NO solo project - my vote is for The Trouble With Girls by Revenge. Beats anything Barney ever did with Electronic

I'd agree with Ally most days, but I do love Can't Find My Way Home off Twisted Tenderness. The title track is also a favourite. But to be original, I'll say Can't Find My Way Home.
Electronic "Getting Away with it", Neil Tennant's parody of Morrissey "I've been waking in the rain just to get wet on purpose" is sheer genius....

Isn't TTWG just an instrumental?
Either way, it's just another version of Big Bang, isn't it? Which is easily my favourite Revenge track, good choice.
Always had a soft spot for Electronic's Try All You Want myself. And I've got some really special memories wrapped up in Soviet, even though it's only really a throwaway track.

I must have missed that one. Cant really see the connection. Plus Tennant doesnt sing "ive been walking in the rain...."

"What Do You Want From Me" Monaco. There are moments on that cd that sound like the best New Order music that New Order never actually recorded.
the version I have is on FAC 305 which was a free cassette given away with Select magazine - it has singing and everything. I think the same version is on i-tunes

He didn't sing it, but he wrote it. ![]()
Super Highways doesn't get near enough love (nice Thomas Pynchon reference in the lyrics, btw).
What Do You Want From Me? and Sedona are both excellent, that whole album is what New Order should have been doing then.
Never been as fond of Electronic as others here, but Get the Message and Vivid are probably the two I like the most. Still, it's rare that I listen to those albums these days, and I think they went progressively downhill (again, I know some people really like Twisted Tenderness, but I hate the production on that - thin, cold and harsh).
IDIOT COUNTRY -Electronic very closely followed by WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME? Monaco, the best New Order record that isn't New Order.

Sounds like one of my ex-girlfriends!
