A nice happy topic here  I just had this thought, hopefully still a while to go for me but as they say it's best to be prepared.

What song would you have playing at your funeral? preferably NO/JD but any really.

I thought about Lonesome Tonight but knowing me I'm more likely to make an entire mockery out of it all and have 60 miles an hour playing.

Funny you should mention this because I was telling someone the other day that I wanted Atmosphere played at my funeral and they told me to not be so morbid ...

I would definitely have Atmosphere / You'll never walk alone & Temptation

Joy Division / Celtic / New Order

and before anyone starts.....it might have originally been sung by Liverpool......but no-one sings it like us;)

"Atmosphere" would be the best choice.

I've thought about Enigma too. Something about those Gregorian chants that would seem so fitting...:)

um, not to be a geek here, but just silence would be fine for me...anything else would just be a little tacky.

I've always had this fantasy... In my last few minutes of my life I've always pictured hearing "Insight" while I take my final breath. I've asked my wife to honor this request when the time comes and if there is a cd player handy. She just slapped me.

The choice has been Atmosphere for the longest time.....nothing else has really come close, though at times I've thought of using In A Lonely Place and Isolation to get some attention.

Interesting to see that pic of Brix still there...I used it for about two weeks, and then changed to something else.

'Atmosphere' was my first idea, but then thought that the 15-minute demo version of 'Elegia' would be actually be better. It would be nice to watch from the coffin how my relatives are waiting and waiting and waiting for the song to end. And after 'Elegia' maybe 'Pet Sematary' by the Ramones!

True Faith, just because it's my favourite.

Decades. Obvious choice really.

I was having a long and thought provoking conversation with a good friend of mine about this whole thing the other day and he said I will die before him anyway as supposedly left handed people don't live as long as right (myself being left of course) so I should leave him all my nice NO/JD collection along with a whole load of other rare stuff. But I was thinking of having it all burried with me like and then in thousands of years someone might think I was some form of modern day pharo and begin worshipping me!

i agree with atmosphere. id also want the entire technique album minus fine time. then id choose temptation 7" and leave me alone and 2 more joy division songs, walked in line and the kill. i want LOTS of cure being played. but if i had to choose 2, it would be disintegration (live from entreat) and the funeral party from the faith album. :)

By the way forgive the spelling I mean Pharaoh, I was never very good with English at school.

I want my casket lowered to the strains of "The Thong Song" by Sisqo.

As the crowds line up around the block to enter my star-studded sendoff, the strains of "Blue Monday Sunkist Ad" should be blasting from the vestibule.....
