I'm pleased to tell you that the bands management DO actually "give a fuck" about the internet and it's for that reason that I have been (mis)quoted suggesting certain sites be a little more careful when it comes to mp3s and the like.

I know that Andy Robinson WAS a regular visitor to "Ceremony" and he watches other sites quite closely - I shouldn't think he would ever contribute anything.

Originally posted by Chris Nash As far as playing the same set on 3 consecutive nights goes - an example:3 gigs at Brixton Academy - sold out very quickly, so one would presume that ALOT of people wanted to see them live.Only Die-hard-nuts would want to go to all 3 gigs. Some of us only had the money to go to one.

Bearing in mind that most of last autumn's UK gigs sold out in an hour or so, one should assume it was diehards, in the main, picking up tickets that quickly. The casual observer clocking an advert in Time Out a week later would've missed out on this one. And it did appear to be the same old faces packed into the Beehive each night before every gig too..

I mean, it doesn't require much to alter the face of a gig. I'll probably rank Manc 2 weeks ago as my best outing this past year, and all they did to grab my attention was re-introduce Touched and Love Vigilantes. When they've played 24 - I think? - tracks in the past year, I don't understand why we can't get one or two changes per gig, to help make each outing an 'event'. Manchester, and perhaps Paris, aside, anyone here attending gigs this summer basically knew what to expect before the event. Which basically goes against the grain of what made New Order an exciting live prospect in the 80's.

And after all, Bernard has already his teleprompter, so he doesn't have to learn the lyrics :D
