Does anyone like B.R.M.C.? I've been listening to their album lately and its brilliant. Decent rock music with an edge to it. These guys are into J.D. too so they got good taste. Check em out if you aint heard them, they're very good.

Saw them on T.v and then went out and got this album which i rather enjoy.![]()
i'm getting into JAMC now, so can't compare too much. i like them. haven't heard a lot of their stuff, but from what i heard, they're good.:D

Yeah, i've heard Black Rebel are very infuenced by Jesus And Mary Chain. Must admit I dont know many songs by JAMC but the few I have heard sound good. Anyone recommend any albums or songs by them?
You only have to buy the "new" Best-Of JAMC-Album "21 Singles". After you've listened to that you won't ask any more questions :D
Just thought I would share that I am listening to JAMC-Munki right now. I haven't listened to this album in a few years. I almost forgot how good it really is! :D
I am way :topic: here, but has anyone ever listened to The Faint? You may want to check them out. They are so awesome! They are my new addiction right now, along with my old addiction of New Order of course. :D The Faint have really catchy tunes, heavy dance beats, with a very modernized new wave sound! I think some of you ORDER fans may like these guys! Their best album is called Danse Macabre! Songs to check are Worked up so sexual(remix is cool) Posed to Death, Agenda Suicide, and Let the Poison Spill! Just thought that I would share a band that I ever so love with everyone. I would love to see these guys get more exposure, cuz they certainly deserve it! :D :D
I saw BRMC at T in the Park here in Scotland two weeks ago and was very impressed by them. Can't say I noticed a JD influence though. If I ever start buying cd's again i'll look out for their stuff.

Like Marco Pleil said, check out the latest release, the Best of compilation '21 singles'.....thats a good start... but I was sorely disappointed by many omission of classics from their early days in the 80's... so I've created my own 2-CD best of compilation... contact me if you want a copy....you too, snucker, i'm happy to spread the 'fuzz' sounds... Anyway..the best albums to check out are their 1986 debut 'PYCHOCANDY' ( with Bobby Gillespie on drums ) and 1987 'DARKLANDS'....even their 1988 'BARBED WIRED KISSES' a compilation of b-sides & studio leftovers is full of gems....
sorry....i've gone :topic:
Excellent album, BRMC, but I haven't listened to it in weeks....very influenced by JAMC, but there's some JD in there. After all, weren't JAMC influenced by Joy Division as well?

I've seen them mention VU and JAMC mainly, but also express an admiration of JD. No NO, though, as far as I can tell.
BRMC and JAMC ??
That's right - why settle for the Pale Imitation (who get all the kudos) when you can simply opt for the Real McCoy (who have only recently brought out a spanking singles compilation that is a MUST for anyone's CD collection)?? ![]()

okey, i get the idea that everyone loves the jesus and mary chain. anyone hate them?:(
the 21 singles sounds good considering i don't own any JAMC, if i see it for a good price, i'll go get myself a copy. thanks. :)
JAMC, the only reason I really bothered to go to Lollapalooza's second go around, or was it the third one...damn, I can't remember...it was very intersting sitting in the 100 degree sun, waiting for the LSD to kick in...I don't know what the hell this had to do with anything, so I think I shall go away for now!

I find them boring. They just don't do anything for me. To me they sound like a dull combination of the Beach Boys and the Ramones, slowed down. :dead: So there's an alternate impression for you. no offense folks, I know they have plenty of support out there!

Funnly enough i was listerning to same LP'(MUNKI) on sunday and what a decent recording it is.
gotta be Honey's Dead for me. Really enjoy B.R.M.C though, have heard theyre great live too. When the album came out, it was just like having a new JAMC record, which is no bad thing.
