7/12/CD/PROMO Depthcharge this is for YOU!

BUDVAR great little anecdote there with HOOKY!:D Comments on the techno i fully understand cos i am just getting to grips with it myself! I am already doing you one CD but could possibly stick another one in the MIX,though you are not the WINNER. The only oddity i own are the doors from the Hac (after going thro the entrance you went thro a pair of double doors with 51 cut out about half way down - i have these ) and a pile of bricks from said club also

Format: Definitely the 12" single. With the Order you always knew that you were in for either a timeless remix or a hidden gem of a b-side.

Edit/Mix: Not sure if the 12" version of The Perfect Kiss counts, but it is a classic ("symphonic disco" - isn't that what Steven Morris called it?). And you have a great live version too on a US promo 12" - featuring Barney and his wicked cow bell. If TPK doesn't count, then I'll have to go with the Shep Pettibone remix of True Faith. Again, another classic.

Promo: My favorite promo will definitely be the WarnerBros promo cd-r of the 5 Aug 01 AreaOne gig from LA last summer when I finally track the bastard down. Until then, I'll settle for 1A) the original BBC Transcription LP of the Glastonbury '87 gig that my wife purchased for my b-day several years ago or 1B) the True Faith US promo cd (you know the one) that I found at a record convention in Austin, Texas 5 years ago for $3.

Artwork: This is a tough one, b/c their are some great covers to choose from. My vote goes to TPK. It is so simple, but so elegant.

Downloads: Hmmmmmm. Not much into these, but I'll vote for the 11 Aug '01 Cologne gig downloads. It was nice to hear some of the new stuff live before the UK/European tour last year.

Ps. IMO Muffy´s is a clear winner, I think Disney is already negotiating to buy the rights to the story to make a film.

TRACEY way back in 1985 i was in PRESTON and saw this cover of what turned out to be the PERFECT KISS.It intrigued me cos i did not know it HAD been released and it was hard to tell what it was or who it was by.Thanks for helping me relive the JOY of that day.Cos it was then after purchasing this i went onto collecting them in a BIG way. My favourite format is Minidisc cause of the editing capabilites and my sexy minidisc player

Fave mix - DNA SIN/GROOVE Mixes of Get The Message, on cassette as unfortunatly did not see have the opportunity to purchase other versions when i purchased it.

Has to be the live mp3's of the aussie big day out festivals.. exceptional versions of tracks have appeared on MP3 which have been most gratefully received :D

Before i depart let me also mention Fire Island mixes of Regret 12" as they are superb :)

I-D the only MINIDISC that i have EVER bought is the ELECTRONIC ...TWISTED TENDERNESS.Just so i could say i covered the formats.But i do love this medium for recording and being able to edit the tracklist etc.:D

Yes Rocket the ability to edit tracks, combine tracks, split tracks and generally juggle them about like a fine pair of errr.. juggling balls ;) as well as their diddy size and durability make em an ideal format for copied material.

Never really took off for commercial releases though, the CD has the market well and truly in a "Sony Playstation'esqe" stranglehold :D

Yes Rocket the ability to edit tracks, combine tracks, split tracks and generally juggle them about like a fine pair of errr.. juggling balls ;) as well as their diddy size and durability make em an ideal format for copied material.

Plus the most easy and cheapest way of sending a GREAT album to a mate via MAIL!:DThe added bonus of those features you mentioned are ideal for recording.It is just that when buying them PRE-RECORDED there is no ARTWORK/SUBSTANCE of note.Too SMALL.BIG is BETTER!
