In the early days New Order struck on a formula of 8 track LPs and a couple of non-album 12" singles. Not every time I'll admit, but generally speaking that was the way.
Just for a bit of fun, pick one track from each of the eight studio albums and then one single to represent the band up to and including Brotherhood, and another to represent Technique through Waiting for the Siren's call.
I'll even allow you to chose a different B sides for your chosen singles but they still have to represent the two sets of four albums.
To sum up I'm looking for your favourite album track from each of Movement, Power, Corruption & Lies, Low-Life and Brotherhood. Your favourite 12" single from that era and the best B side whether it's a dub mix or different song. (1980-1987)
Then, do the same for Technique, Republic, Get Ready and Waiting for the Siren's call. (1988-2005)
What a fabulous album it would make, whatever you chose. :)
