Originally posted by Al Jarvis G-Mex 88 my personal pick of the bunch - white with orange circles, listing New Order, ACR and the Mondays. Made a mistake of wearing this to a Mondays gig at ULU about 2 weeks later to discover all me mates had the, er, same t-shirt on! We looked like a fcuking stag do.6.8.10 t-shirts weren't bad - black with lots of red, yellow, blue (late 87).Red 'Young Offender' t-shirts, USA 93.Quite like the green Ceremony t-shirts bluecat are doing at the mo'. Worst of the lot - the red/blue chequered long-sleeve shirts supposed to represent the two footie sides of Manchester.

Indeed, those GMEX ones seem to carry much kudos amongst Order fans as I must have had several dozen people comment on mine at Old Trafford. Got a great big poster from that gig too, in bright fucking orange. 1988, eh????

Did you see the Saville-designed PC&L shirt on sale at Old Traff?? And like the Rocket says, the dubious bootleg ones were quite nice as well - anyon get the "Substance" design with 'Manchester 2002' replacing 'Substance 1987'???

Worst ever was that vile 'Balearic Beats' one with the massive eye on it. Er, 1988 - so much to answer for.....

What about the Road Crew t-shirts from USA 89, or maybe 93, that were doing the rounds? Had on 'em something like 'NEW ORDER POSSE TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL'.

I've got a scan handy somewhere of the NME review of G-Mex 88 which focused on some fella who's got a self-emblazoned bomber jacket with, across his back, New Order, ACR, Joy Division, Happy Mondays and, er, the Pet Shop Boys. Will dig it out later tonight.. .

Used to have 2 of NewOrder 1987's Australian Tour Tees with Brotherhood cover at the front and Oceanic tour dates/venues printed at the back.....pity the Tees wasnt a good quality type with very 80's vogue-ish China White Tee collar type.....

Anyway, worn one of the Tee a lot till one day the neighbours dog pulled it off the clothesline and chewed it to bits....the other Tee was kept in pristine mint unworn condition somewhere in my wardrobe...until one day ,burglars cleared my entire wardrobe, including my Smiths Hatful of Hollow Tee & Jesus And Mary Chain Tee..( sob, sob,, )....oh, well.....

The interesting bit was the tour dates/venue printed on the back of the Brotherhod Tour Tee had 'Newcastle' but they didnt play there, due to poor ticket sales, instead played at Dee Why, north of Sydney....

Yeah, I've got a pair of WIM shorts - very natty they were too, until years of wear and tear left 'em in a very sorry state (ie - the elastic went). Still, a nice concept - can we have more shorts, please???

There was a very de rigeur (for that time) black zip-necked top at the 6-8-10 gigs too, with New Order sewn across the heart, I think.

And were the letters in those annoying day glo flourescent colors???

if so, I've got the same shirt...I bought three different ones in 89...

I also have a pretty nifty shirt from the 93 North American tour, a map of the US with the states sized according to population...it was odd looking in a very cool sort of way...

Yep, that's the one. Looked particularly violent under UV light!

I have the Best of...New Order tee-shirt with the blue squiggly thing on the front and the songs in that shape on the back. It's pretty cool.

I also have the grey Republic tee with the neon orange writing, "Republic" on the front. This is a pretty good too.

I've been trying to find the album cover of Republic on tee but to no avail. :( I always liked that cover. As for the "Young Offender" shirt on red, it looks cool, but I wouldn't want people erroneously confusing Young Offender with Sex Offender. :nono:

I had this too. Barney's wearing it in the Troo Faith video. They brought out the same design in black for the year end gigs with 6-8-10 across the back instead.

Also reminds me of the classic Mondays t-shirt which had their name going down the front in similar boxes.

best of all was the G-mex festival of tenth summer , plain with just simple lettering, still got it but as i was 16 (ish) then it will only fit a little un now, next best was the following g-mex gig with mondays, apparently the malvern one is now pretty unique, also have the low-life one autographed by barnie, another favourite is the original world in motion which is the only one to last the test of time and sweaty gigs and still look good.

Black T-Shirt with blue and yellow negative images of the band in a 4 square grid, very difficult to work out Gillians face.

Threw it out cause i used to sleep in it and it got too small and ended out a bit worse for wear :(

Also electronic 'Get The Message' blue, electronic vertically written on front "get the message" on top, back and a huge 2 also on back. (as worn by drummer in cities in park video) Unfortunatly i left it on the train while pissed... DOH :(
