Bad Lieutenant live in Paris, 4th of November

Haha, nice. Regardless you can still get the jist of what he's saying, and that's all that I care about. I wish I could be going to Paris to see them, I never got to see NO or anything. So, chances they'll play the US- 0, but it sounds like this will be a good record.
So what do you expect? What will Barney do? Sing a few songs while the other guy sings most of the Bad Lt songs, then Barney sings a few "classics" at the end of the show? Will Barney play lead guitar? Will he just hang out while the younger guys do the heavy lifting?
Do you really expect a long tour? Barney hates long tours, and there may be limited interest

Who gives a shit? It's a few beers and a trip to Paris.
In fairness and despite Freebass being mooted for far longer, Bernard's managed to come up with a near-finished song, album release date and a gig. I don't think you'll get many complaints from people on here that there's something properly NO-related to go to again.
We get it - you're not a fan of Bernard
getting a bit dull now.

For the uninitiated, Colin is being facetious. he is probably grumpy and hungover. He knows full well that this is little more than an excuse to drink beer all day in gay Paris, and that the "music" is a mere sideshow.
If I manage to haul my hairy arse off the dole and back into gainful employment, I hope to be there with or without a ticket for Bernard's little plaything. As, I suspect, will the aforementioned Diamond Geezer.

He does have a point though
I can't excited about Barney on karaoke. :(

I can't get excited about Revenge playing sub-reggae tripe either, but I'll doubtless still be at the first Freebass gig.
As for "Barney on karaoke".....please refer to every New Order gig since new member "the autocue" joined.

We're looking at Tuesday - Friday or Wednesday to Saturday. I'll see what the prices are like, and also what everybody else is doing.
I've mailed Olympia, I have to book my tickets again and they will cancel the original ones - phew!
So, to clarify, Category 2 tickets at 34 Euros - right????
I've got a hen night to go to in London on the Friday so I'm looking at coming out by eurostar on the Wednesday morning and heading back Thursday afternoon.

glad you got that sorted.
we're flying over on the 3rd, spending a few days in paris & then going to toulouse to visit my brother.
Eurostar is only £30 out and just takes 2.5 hours, tempting, the start could be a session in London on Tues night, I can't get prices for Saturday coming back it is too far in advance.

Arrive Tuesday or Wednesday, back Saturday or Sunday. Looks like you'll have to go Tuesday night, as the Wednesday from Glasgow is too late. Shouldn't have to pay more that £40 return though mate.

Wait a couple of days - Saturday will appear...!
When I checked on Tuesday, they had only just allowed booking for the 5th... On Wednesday, the 6th appeared...
So, in theory, Saturday will be there either later on today or tomorrow! :)
Dunno when I'm going up - probably Wednesday afternoon, and then back on the Thursday at some point... At the moment, I'm thinking a half-day holiday on the Wednesday afternoon and then a half-day holiday on the Thursday morning...

Good to see the NO spirit is still alive; a revelatory interview written up in a foreign language and the inaugaral show on foreign soil!

Ones near the venue will be tres tres expensive. Infact, hotels in Paris are expensive in general. Oh, and usually shit too! ![]()
There's tonnes of options on the Hotel Ibis site as I recall. I stayed in a nice one in Monmartre for 50 EUR a night. Good location, decent hotel.

Ah Monmartre, the red-light district. Wasn't it you that posted about brothels in Krakow, G...?!
If you go to their myspace page, they have a new blog entry called "Never Cry Another Tear" and they have nice pictures and story about their new video.

Cheers Nick
I was looking at the 9am eurostar on Wed, get in for lunch, check in and get on it. Saying that depending on my travel mates I may already be on it at 9am!

I might travel out with you but I'm definitely staying for at least two more days to do the touristy stuff.

Yessum!
Let me know if you get a ticket and I'll keep you in the loop about travel arrangements.
Wife...
(I can't do that quote thingy!)
Well in that case I will order a case of red for the journey now ;)
I am staying on for a couple of days as well, as usual there is a list of things I want to do!
