At The Midnight Shift this Saturday night for Bearracuda. I'm on first, starting at 9 (I think - maybe 10).

I'm here in Sydney now...spent the day in Newtown and down at the Harbour. :)

Thanks! But of course, these were only possible thanks to your wonderfully generous and enterprising spirit, to which I must salute you sir! :)

Ian Edwards wrote: f the UK 12" of Ruined in a Day that nobody but me seems to remember? Why not start uploading New Order studio recording tracks individually so remixers can start doing their stuff...? Fuck the other MCR shit. And, let it be said that 50Quid's work on Recycle is worthy of a Knighthood.

All of that stuff is coming, and thank you.

My involvement with Extra Track is strictly the artwork. I didn't choose the project - it chose me.

That said, there are any number of bands whose single I want to tackle: Nitzer Ebb at the top of the list, The Cure, Meat Beat Manifesto, Dead Or Alive.

My compatriot over at Extra Track wants to tackle REM but he doesn't have the artwork, and there's no fan resource like Vulgar Picture.

Nitzer Ebb's Belief and Showtime would sound great given your stellar treatment

Belief yes, Showtime..hmmm...how about that total age??:thumb:

Okay - after some delay, I have finally got round to getting pics of the RECYCLE BOX that contains all of the CD singles. The idea was TOTALLY inspired by the bright shade of yellow that is used by the Hacienda ..... and of course, the associated Factory books (including the recent Peter Hook one "How Not To Run A Club").

And yes, it's an exercise in minimalism in keeping with the whole FAC[T] ethic - note, NO HELVETICA FONT ANYWHERE TO BE SEEN (it's Gill Sans, coincidentally the one used in the Peter Hook "Hacienda" book)

For those who want the technical details: it measures 13.5 cm wide by 13.5 cm tall, and is 6.3 cm thick. The main box is constructed of polyboard at a thickness of 0.7 mm and of a weight of 600 gsm. The outer sleeve with the title printed in black is constructed from textured card of a weight of 360 gsm and then plastic film sealed by hand on the exterior surface for protective reasons.

The photos don't really do the box much justice as they were taken indoors and look a tad murky...sorry that I couldn't get any natural daylight here, but hopefully it's still good enough.

So, what do people think?? Would you buy this product if you saw it in the shops?? :):shades:
