You have heated debates about fook all.
you use a false name and pretend to be an oriental hooker
you can't get on with things you really should be doing because your too busy writing crap on here!
- you tattoo yourself with something New Order related
- you spend thousands following them
- you go on holiday with fellow fans
- you do every DJ's head in with requests for New Order
- you threaten to stab a DJ if he doesn't play New Order
- you plan to have a New Order song played at your funeral
when the line you hear most is
"do you ever listen to anything else? put something better on, put the smiths on"
which soon results in much much more NO even louder,
when you spend months and months hunting down particular gigs for one particular version even though its shit - i.e She's Lost Control in Landan
...prefer Peter Saville to Jimmy Saville.
...call your PES football team FC NewOrder, and stick a bright young thing, Sumner, up front.
when you son or daughter(in my case and only 6 years) starts ranting and raving in the car when you try changing "Love will Tear us Apart" to another track...
Oh and she also know all the words.......

I had that with Jizzstream four years ago from my then four-year-old.
When you leave a party in a pissed angry mood because your friends insist listening to other music than your beloved New Order.
... More than half of the music on your MP3 player is NO and JD.
... You dress like the band members.
... You go to a music store you have to look for NO and JD stuff even if you where just there the other day.
you come home from work, and your 14 year old daughter, who is continually telling you "yer taste in music's rubbish"

When you fantasise about having sex with Gillian Gilbert*

you use neworder songs in your wedding "ceremony"

Unbeatable
When your daughter (mine is only 3) knwos the lyrics to Ceremony and asks for New Order on the DVD all the time. Also role playing the NO family, she already has a favourite which is Hooky. She call Barny Grandpa Bernard

When you talk like Barney, wear his clothes and haircut and you go to see them live.
Also:
- Have NO ringtones
- Wear NO T-Shirts and badges
- Make everyone everywhere to listen to NO
- Visit NOOL
- Still read about NO although the band is no more and you practically everything
- Put pictures and covert art on walls
- Collect bootlegs
- Use Factory methods of management

You consider watching Shadowplayers on your next date if you haven't already alienated him or her by watching 24 Hour Party People, Control, the Joy Division documentary and New Order Story within a single month.

You do a mix tape for your mum and she starts playing along to the songs on her keyboard (i learnt vanishing point that way).
Your mum asks "why is he is singing about another man?" on 1963.
... You ask someone to buy NO items from eBay ,for your birthday that's coming up, now because they may be gone soon.
(In my case...) When you regret being born way too late.(I was born the same year True Faith came out!) When your pics on your desktop wallpaper are NO related. When you bought the Marion album (This World and Body) at a secondhand shop, thinking 'Phil was in this band!' When your ringtones and phone wallpaper are NO related. Something functional like a windmill should be designed to maximise it's functionality. Any aesthetic qualities should accentuate, or at least complement, the basic requirements of the functional specification. I feel that this windmill compromises its functional value in favour of fancy form and is therefore an ornament.
Additionally, it's beautiful legs give me a hard on and you just can't go around fancying windmills

Closest match I've seen around here is a very butch teller at my bank. Classic Barney hair circa 1985. Not sure she's aware of this.

-You consider buying the 2009 Rhino New Order remaster 5-pack from The Ideal Copy solely for the promotional poster of the band circa Low-Life they throw in.

-You're the only person who recognises Blue Monday/The Beach at said dance party when the DJ uses it as the base for a mix set and then are upset the song wasn't played in its entirety.
-You look at half a dozen modern "electro" or "dance-rock" bands your friends introduce you too and scoff they stole their style from New Order.
-Your first thought upon hearing NIN is going on hiatus is to hope that Trent Reznor now has time to do a full-on collaboration with Gillian and Steve.

...Ending a particularly enjoyable live gig by playing Blue Monday which set the dancefloor alight and resulted in people shouting out "New Ordah! New Ordah!" and even "I want some Joy Division next!".
