Just had a text from Eddie about this - says he will be on in a minute or two talking about the Hac.
I have tried to get TV Channels on here at work. Bastards have blocked me though 
Heard he was on Granada TV last night? got a message from someone who said he saw Hooky being interviewd in front of the place where the hacienda once stood. Also footage of Graeme Park dj-ing @ the hac was shown...
Did anybody catch it?

Just caught it by chance (some unseen force just told me to flick to BBC1 - how does that happen?). Has Hooky joined the mainstream book plugging trail ? I'm gonna watch The Wright Stuff and Good Morning with Phil & Holly now. Is he doing the One Show, chipping in about endangered eagles ?
I did laugh as the caption said "Peter Hook - New Order". I bet they asked him what he wanted and he said put that for a laugh. I'm sure the BBC News clip will be on BBC iPlayer later.
Is there a checklist of what tv he's doing ?
He was on Granada Reports last night. A lengthy peice about the history of the Hac with loads of sweaty club footage and the Mondays gooning around.
"Those were the days" said that Lucy Meacock at the end of the piece, projecting a fine image of a fifteen-years-younger version of the tightly-buttoned anchor lady, bottle of water in hand, sporting acid gurn over Joe Bloggs dayglo. Arms in the air. ONE MORE TUNE!
I doubt it love. I bet she never went near the place, and fucking hated all the stories she heard about it. She was 30 in 1989 and doesn't seem to be the sort to approve of people having fun like that anyway.
It may not have been Lucy Meacock, I was on the running machine and not really paying attention. But it was one of her ilk. I'm not having a go at her particularly, anyway. It's just all this fawning nostalgia by people who would have shit in their their pants if they'd gone into any nightclub in Manchester in the 1990s, never mind the Hacienda.
If there had been a button to press that would have made the Hacienda disappear, most of these people would have been stabbing at it like crazy. The same people are proud of it now. Just makes me sick up a bit.

Well he wasn't on The Wright Stuff. And it doesn't look like he's on Good Morning with Phil & Holly, which is a shame as I was looking forward to hearing "Coming up after the break, Phil Vickery prepares a salmon dish with Peter Hook from Warsaw". There's "Loose Women" coming up so I might just check that. That Five thing with Ian Wright. Are Richard & Judy still on somewhere digital ? There is a Tony Wilson connection there after all.
