Transcript done and sent to Nic a few hours ago. It will probably be online in a day or so. If not, I can find a way to post it.

You allowed the downloaded album to be discussed for several weeks and no action was taken.Home taping killing music! When a link to a iTunes only was made i was told this ain't cricket. It was a Protest and the downloaders have BOUGHT everything AVAILABLE to them.So the wise cracks from the INNER circle need to look a BIT closer to home.
It's a known fact I'm less present on this website, and also that Tim has major logging on issues I'm trying to resolve... I can't check everything.
I could probably add more moderators to filter content, IDK.. but will it change much? People will get the album one way or the other. Censorship has never been a good thing in history
He says after censoring me about 24 mins ago.YOU WIN!
:D
The funny part is that, even after all this, you keep posting here many times a day... I guess it must not be all that bad after all?
In a way, you should be grateful because as far as I'm concerned, this website should have been closed two years ago. So enjoy while it lasts! :dead:
Quite a few people seemed to want this, so here's a download link for the transcript of my interview with Hooky. It's word-for-word, so you won't miss anything:
http://rapidshare.com/files/295119466/PH_Transcript.doc
It's in MS WORD format, so most people should be able to open the file - no unzipping or anything like that.
I hope that will help people who aren't used to British accents, don't speak English as their first language - or even those hard of hearing!
If you want to translate it into another language, please feel free to do so, but please credit NewOrderOnline if you do and let me know, as I'd love to see translations!
Hopefully Nic will get a chance to put the text online here at some point too.
Cheers all.

I'll re-send it to you now Nic ![]()
Nah it's all good... weird format though, you can't cut and paste it properly.
I exported it in PDF format and linked it on the top page of the site, so it's not text, but everybody support PDF, so here we go.

thanks, man! here's the spanish translation i did for the spanish forum: http://www.neworderonline.com/Forums/MessageList.aspx?ThreadID=46761
Loving Hooky doesn't mean agreeing with him even when he's obviously wrong. He says himself he doesn't want his arse to be licked so here's my opinion: he's just dead wrong about the file sharing.
The fact a NewOrderOnline member can hear Stalingrad on their iPod before it's released means only it will keep his interest going and will do for the wait for the actual release, which will be certainly purchased.
I just think Hooky wants to catch up with the kids on the net but isn't really understanding what he's seeing.
All we need is someone to explain him how things are really going. I'm sure he will understand.
As I've written on the other thread:
Really nice interview BUT can you get in touch with Hooky please and tell him that it's fookin obvious that if anything gets shared here we'll all buy it once it's released?!
It seems he's not fully aware of that. He shouldn't really worry about that. This is not E fookin Mule, it's NewOrderOnline, and its members buy the fookin releases, end of the story.
It's just we can't wait to hear unreleased stuff, but once it's available, we buy it, that's all. ![]()
Actually Mick, I did mention that, specifically that although I've got alot of the NO live stuff on bootlegs, I'd still buy the CDs or DVDs if they were released, as would most other members.
I think the point was also (though not specifically said) that it's disappointing for a band to record something at a huge cost to themselves and have the expectation of a release ruined by internet leaks of what is, essentially, a poor quality copy, regardless of which ex-New Order member was involved.
I must admit, I've listened to "Stalingrad" but not tried to download it. I didn't even realise that it had been made available here.
Alejo - thanks for the Spanish translation - I'll have to give it a read now! ![]()

Yes well that doesn't surprise me.I have been misunderstood and vilified for pointing out the obvious flaws of this site. The double standards or obvious discrepancies are being swept under the carpet. But Nic has explained himself well enough and i have to admit i have sympathy with him on this now.So i shall try to keep within the confines of HOOKy's desire and not upset the applecart here.I still enjoy the banter and the shaing OFFLINE.I shall continue to make BARNEY STE and HOOKY richer than I.I tried to change opinions but failed miserably.I am liking the new BL album now.MR NASH's interview is quite good under the circumstances and NIC and SEB deserve a lot of credit for putting up with nutters like me around here! But hell if you could have seen the Vikings the other night you would be Proud.Very decent when i met them sober.
PS
i thought u were coming to Manchester for BL?![]()

But ARE really these expectations ruined by leaks?! I don't think so. I'm talking about two very different things here. One thing is the loyal fan who wants to hear a tune before a release he will purchase. Another thing is the casual listener who downloads from E Mule and does not purchase, and he WILL download from E Mule, and it doesn't matter if he does it BEFORE or AFTER the release, either way Hooky won't see a penny, while he'll see our cash, whether we download it before or after. Actually leaks can even help sales. For example I've discovered a great new band called Exit Calm and all I could buy now is a single. On their forum many demo and unreleased live tracks have been shared and if I wasn't really sure about them after hearing what's officially available now I can't wait to buy their album (and I've even made a video for a bootleg track, see below). When I pre-ordered NCAT I wasn't sure what I was going to buy, after hearing the leaked copy I was very happy I was going to receive it in my mail box.

Chris, Thanks again! :) Just downloaded the pdf...
Chris, great interview, thought the double wammy of noise and accent made it a bit harder... the transcript worked well... but it needs to be translated into American... hard to understand anything if it doesn't have the words "awesome" "dude" "bitch" etc. in them![]()
As for the download of Freebass stuff... I think its a silly arguement. The people here would purchase it, and I hate to say it... but really, who else is going to buy the side projects? They are all going to be die hard fans of Hooky, Rourke, etc. not 13 year old kids, or some housewife in Torrance.
I suppose there is a chance FB or BL could have a hit single to hit the charts... but how many side projects have ever really done that?
