Who told you that, Kevo?

This would make what has been an already glorious evening.

Well either that or they're very, very late coming on. According to the text I received everyone's stood about not knowing what to do. Could be a wind-up, of course.

I was told that there was no support act and that B/L were due onstage at 9:30pm

My guess is that they're just a bit late going on.

Are they on stage yet then??

No texts from any of our men on the scene, which is unusual

i hope they cancel manc so i can have my money back:laugh:

As they have to stop any show by 11pm, they'd better be onstage now, or there'll be alot of unhappy punters who paid to see more than a half hour show!

If there was something up, I'm sure someone here would have received a text from a reliable audience member. No news probably means they're playing right now.

Much as I'm not keen on their music, if they haven't turned up or gone on stage, I hope that they're all okay.

Afterall, Barney is a prime heart attack candidate - in his fifties, overweight and has erm... "overindulged" in the past.

My guess is that there is no mobile reception in the venue, hence the lack of "news".

If the gig was cancelled then everyone would be out on the street by now and we'd be getting lots of disgruntled texts! I'm hoping they were just late on stage.......

Yeah that will be it, Chris.

All our lot will be down the hospital with him. That's why they're not answering their phones.

:nonono: very negative attitude there Chris

I'm sure if it was a no show that we would have heard by now, I searched twitter no tweets about it, nothing from any noolers, nowt elsewhere on the tinterweb as yet. In this day and age people would be complaining on line by now if it had gone tits up.

Why is it a negative attitude to hope they're all okay?

Spoil sport

I've just texted Al: "Please give Barney all of our best wishes. We love him, and hope he's better soon and we think the lyrics to Sink or Swim are wonderful really."

Ok, I May have phrased that wrongly, negative thought process to instantly worry and ponder that Bernard could have had a possible heart attack.

lighten up and ask Susan to share her custard:wink:

The reality is that everyone at the gig is currently fighting for their lives in a scene that could have been taken from "From Dusk Till Dawn". A vampire Hooky is somewhat ironically currently using Bernard as a double bass..........

Well that must be the case, Jake.

Face it, the beauty of having a band with so many guitarists and two singers is that they can carry on with one or two members missing.

If, and I'm not saying this is the case at all, Barney is currently fighting for his life in a cardiac ward near Brighton, the show could go on.

The fact that we have hot heard that the gig went ahead suggests that all of the band and the audience have been killed, probably by some sort of sarin gas attack or maybe the building has collapsed and squashed everyone.

They're all in Brighton. Therefore band and audience are almost certainly all having gay group neo-Buddhist tranny sex surrounded by crystals.

With some New Age chanting thrown in.

The way my life has gone, I usually worry about the worst. That way, at least I'm happy when everything turns out okay.

Susan's selfish anyway. I can only remember one occasion when she shared custard and she sent that as a present...

That happens a lot in Brighton:crazy:

Oh yeah, Brighton.

Barney's had one of them am-dram heart attacks then. Where you go "I swoon" and droop into a chaise lounge.

A quick whiff of smelling salts and he'll be fine.

Still doesn't explain the sudden death of everyone else in Brighton, or the collapse of the mobile phone network.

Isn't Shug there? He's normally texted the setlist and left a singalonganswerphone message by now.

Chris, I think you've hit the nadir of your thinly veiled bias against anything Barney tries to do. I mean for fucks sake, pulling a suspected heart attack randomly out of thin air? :nonono: Even if it is under the guise of concern it just "reads" really fucking weirdly as it's something very very specific. If Hooky were half an hour or 45 minutes late for a DJ set I doubt you would be referring to him as an "overindulgent fatty" at risk of copping it from a coronary. It reads pretty badly on your part.

Personally, I'm very much looking forward to the BL Heaven gig tomorrow just as much as I was Hooky's book signing and from the track listing filtering back via txt this evening it sounds like it'll be a good evening out with a decent range of tunes.
