Chris, I think you've hit the nadir of your thinly veiled bias against anything Barney tries to do. I mean for fucks sake, pulling a suspected heart attack randomly out of thin air? :nonono: Even if it is under the guise of concern it just "reads" really fucking weirdly as it's something very very specific. If Hooky were half an hour or 45 minutes late for a DJ set I doubt you would be referring to him as an "overindulgent fatty" at risk of copping it from a coronary. It reads pretty badly on your part.

Personally, I'm very much looking forward to the BL Heaven gig tomorrow just as much as I was Hooky's book signing and from the track listing filtering back via txt this evening it sounds like it'll be a good evening out with a decent range of tunes.

Do what?

Mind you Barney has sailed close to the wind...:p

Perhaps the gig was shit, and barney showed up with a backing tape and his guitar.

Barney's had one of them am-dram heart attacks then. Where you go "I swoon" and droop into a chaise lounge.

Isn't Shug there? He's normally texted the setlist and left a singalonganswerphone message by now.

No, he is not. He is supporting "RANGERS" somewhere in the Champions League this week

Got a bit tense round here all of a sudden, hasn't it?

You only posted that at 9.30, Kevo. Bit early for a no-show.

I thought they were on stage on time? We were last outta the bar around 8.45 and am sure they strolled on literally as we bowled into the venue.

Of course, I could be wrong. We had several by then.

Oh, and the phones weren't working at all - it's underground. And anyways I've got an iPhone and they're a cunt enough to get working overground too.

It's a 3rd conspiracy.

It's WAR (again).

They came out from there soundcheck at 7.25.p.m so might have been running late,, Bernard was a bit tense,, no change there,, bouncer said band were due on 8.45 ish,, came on after 9 and probably due to lateness cut there encore short as there was an r& b night to follow ,, now that gave everyone a heart atack.

Heart and soul, one will burn

I was only going on texts from my mate - was probably a big wind up! He also said "rumours are they've split up already" but decided not to post that! Sorry guys.

No, he is not. He is LAUGHING AT "RANGERS" in the Champions League this week

Corrected that for you Julio.

I would have worried about Barney, Steve or Hooky if someone had said that they hadn't showed up at a gig. Okay, New Order had a reputation for being unpredictable in performance, but at least they were reliable in as much as they showed up for gigs.

The major cause of heart problems in UK males over 50 is:

  1. Being overweight, especially around the waist
  2. Putting themselves under alot of stress
  3. Over-indulgence in drugs and/or alcohol over a sustained period
  4. Smoking

My Dad suffered major heart problems in his fifties because of the above factors and that is often in the forefront of my mind.

Honestly, the first thing that crossed my mind was "I hope they're okay." Maybe I didn't phrase it as best I could.

Steve is the only one not carrying excess weight, but he's the one who still smokes. The heart attack thing wasn't random at all.

It wasn't intended as an attack on anyone, though I admit I've been very under-enthusiastic about the B/L material. I've never "thinly veiled" that opinion.

I wouldn't wish harm on anyone. Sorry my comment was completely misread/misunderstood by those who usually wish to presume the worst about others here.

Chris, I don't think for a minute anyone believes you were wishing harm and/or a heart attack on anyone but you've got to admit it was a pretty fcuking random thing to come out with. Even with the personal family reasoning you're now giving it's still pretty bizarre. Yes, I do know very well what causes heart attacks so you don't have to list them for me.

If it makes you feel better to accuse people of "seeing the worst" then fair enough. Your comments were phrased badly and someone had to say it before it snowballed into a false rumour.

Which knowing this place it very probably could have.

I hope they come on at 9.45 tonight, and then really shit everyone up!

For the record, Shug's just sent me a text about Liam Maher, and upon seeing it I also noticed I had a failed text to him last night at 9.16 simply saying "This is Home".

I assume I was trying to tell him what the opening song was, as it was played, and I simply hadn't decided that I quite liked Digital and had decided to make it my home.

9.16 for a headlining band ain't really that late now, is it?

Oh well, as you were.

(Fake) News just in!

Bernard (pictured above) has given what press have described as a 'triumphant' press conference in London tonight just hours before taking to the stage at Heaven with new project Bad NeilTennant.

As you can see he looks great  kept insisting "This Is It" tho :uhoh: and that he loved us all.

That wasn't me! In fact, I'm sure the culprit would consider himself at least as much a viking as a 'po-faced librarian'.

Very good reports from the members of the 3rd who did attend, tho Barney's "Let's have it!" during LWTUA would prob have ruined it for me.....

Yes, I know. I was stood with the culprit's Mrs for half the gig.

However, as I understand it he eventually showed?

Peter Mandelson though, really. Not every day you're late for a gig cos of dinner with Mandy!

I told him he should have invited him along - leant across the dinner table and said "Peter, were you ever a fan of Noooo Order...?". I'm sure he would be familiar with Heaven as a venue.

Btw, where were you at the Hooky book-signing?
