Jake seem to have slotted in nicely and seemed quite comfortable in the place we are all so used to seeing Hooky, the other lad was quite happy to take a backstage role near Steve. Most surprising was seeing Roger Lyons on keyboard through the whole performance, a welcome surprise as Roger’s a top lad. As usual it was almost impossible to catch a glimpse of Steve. Anyways, as mentioned the Bad Loo stuff was a helluva lot better than expected, I thought the band were really on the ball. I managed to capture quite a bit on the ole digital camera and watched it back this morning. Quite surreal being in front of Barney without being thrown here there and everywhere, not a mosh pit in sight. Highlights were This Is Home, Running out of Luck (which is now growing on me) Poisonous Intent & Twist Of Fate, was a bit pissed aff that they are not doing Runaway though. Second half was the side project gig, twas great seeing Tighten Up in a new faster version, such a shame that Electronic never fookin toured more! Then a new pumped up intro into Crystal had a few people thinking what the fuck is this, but gotta say it blended in nicely. Again, it was weird as fuck though, mainly for the bass in the later half of the song, me and Don automatically looked at each other as if to say “Where’s Hooky?” Strange. Out of Control was fantastic and this was the first time we saw Nobby going proper mental and starting a mosh pit all of his own, I am guessing Roger had quite a bit to do with the new pumped up sound for the performance, fucking fantastic to finally hear this live and it worked wonderfully well and to make it better Temptation was segued into it, then the whole place went fucking nuts. A proper pit ensued and we were battered from pillar to post, lovely. Transmission kept the madness going then they came back on to do an BLT minus Steve with Jake and Phil on acoustic geetars, I’d say it was staged but nevertheless I enjoyed it. Love Will Tear Us Apart closed the show in style. Really really enjoyable night and surpassed my expectations by a country mile. If anyone supplies me with the bootleg of the show (or any of the other two shows) I will supply the new Viking pin for the tour. As always it was an absolute pleasure meeting up with everyone. Let’s hope for some more dates next year.

The gig was brilliant! I just feel a bit disappointed with some of the NO fans who were shouting "New Order". Thought that was quite disrespectful of Bernard. Yes, last night there were so many NO fans (and I am one of them) but there was no need to point that out at BL gig! Also, I don't think some NO fans want to give BL a chance. It was quiet during BL songs not because the songs were bad but because of two reasons: people didn't know them well, (totally understandable), and/or they didn't wish to give them a chance.

Rubbish.. played the album to death and they are IMHO not as good.. Similar reception for some songs off WFTSC when they toured that.

And if I wasn't giving them a chance why would i have bought the album and done their first two gigs?

If they don't want New Order chants they shouldn't play any of their songs, the place was packed out full of people hoping to hear some New Order, Electronic and Joy Division. If BL had produced a strong enough first album they wouldn't have had to fall back so heavily on past achievements to fill the place...

That transition from Out Of Control (seriously underrated song) into Temptation is just glorious. I'm now thinking I might try and swing one of the NYC shows next month.

I've played it from start to finish 8 (yup, EIGHT) times thus far... Sorry, it's not just sunk in yet...

Having finally (I'd pre-ordered the Super Deluxe Boxset via their website) got the final product through today, I'll give it some more listens to try and like it before the Paris gig...

As for the New Order chants, well, that's been said throughout all of the solo gigs that I've been to - Barney actually smiles during them! :p

I liked the idea of two singers straight away, but it appeared to be remarkable live. To me their vocals work very well together on NCAT, especially in This is Home (better than say Sumner/Tennant). And Poisonous Intent live in the form of a dialogue was fantastic! I loved it!

Fingers crossed (succumbing) - I do really want to like the album, I really do! :)

As for Hamburg, that's on a bloody Friday - if it was on a Saturday, I'd definitely consider it, but you'd probably have to take a half day off to do that...
