Bernard liked the idea of a co-headlining series of dates, but Hooky wasn't that keen cos he thought Brandon Flowers was a bit of a gimp.

Cue = handbags at dawn and the setting in motion of the split in ranks.

Steve and Bernard did a promo interview when Sirens 1 was being released, and were asked which of the songs from the sessions was their favourite. They both said the "doomy one" that didn't fit (stylistically) on Sirens 1, which is now called Californian Grass apparently.

That's interesting. Would have been a smart move on New Order's part to have done such a tour, much like it would have been a very smart move on New Order's part to do an actual Tour of the US in 2001 when Crystal was a club hit and a staple at pretty much every Indie dance club.
