Hooky should take these comments for what they are...a simple desire by his fans to have more music!

Well said. The biggest thing for me is this: stop releasing the same old tired material that everyone has had since back in the day! No disrespect to Hooky, Bernard, and Stephen, but go through your tape collections and find some truly exclusive material that nobody has ever heard.
As far as New Order releases, come through with “The Beach, Jul 29 1980“, recording. New Order’s first gig ever. A true piece of history; something that is truly exceptional. They have the reel. They also have unreleased gigs that are truly exceptional as well. They are doing nothing with these recordings.
As far as Joy Division releases, the band have all kinds of tapes in their private collections, just collecting dust. I feel Hooky should release the Middlebrough recording from 1977. That recording what give JD fans an incredible insight into the evolution of Joy Division’s sound. None of us have heard any live recordings from 1977 and 1978; that I know of! What about some rehearsal material as well?
I would be more then willing to spend a little more money on these kinds of releases; no matter how they are packaged. Ideally reissues with bonus disc’s would fit the best, and of course if we are talking about reissues, then do the studio material the right way, and stop fucking compressing the music; which destroys it!
I don’t have a problem with how Hooky makes a living, I like Hooky, so I’m not going to say anything negative about him, I just want the band and record company to give the fans what they really want. That’s my point; just do right by the fans and we will take care of the band by buying the product.
It’s sad that we(the fans) have to turn to a blog to find quality releases, and the audio released wasn’t even Lossless! I find it funny that a few fans (Recycle Blog) can completely out class the record company and show them how to release the singles! In the end, I seriously doubt their will be anymore quality New Order or Joy Division releases, with the state of the band right now! I just don’t think anymore releases will be put together; which sucks for us. Again I really feel like if the band and record company take care of the fans and give us what we want; we will take care of them in return by buying these releases………………………….
