I'd quite like Modern Romance back...

A boy can dream.

I don't think New Order should reunite for good, but I think it would be nice if they got back together for a few months or something like that and did a world reunion tour, and then split up again.

I just want a chance to see them live that's all... :(

I don't mind if they don't make a new album.

I would like a reunion tour however, down the line sometime and I would fooking love them to record an acoustic set of their favourite New Order tracks.

The Chameleons and The Cure did it with fabulous results.

Prefab Sprout did that to great effect a few years ago, couldn't see New Order doing such a thing though,or anything together ever again for that matter.

Surely the future is....

The rubbish side projects fall apart.

BRIT awards offer them a "lifetime achievement" award on the proviso that they perform a medley of their hits at the end of the show. NO get together and do the one-off performance..... Bono appears doing guest vocal on the Love Will Tear Us Apart section of the medley and Kylie does the Blue Monday section (George Michael gets stoned and forgets to show up to do his bit on the True Faith section, so Bernard sings it.... badly). Award gets presented to them by some bunch of young hipster dufus idiots who proclaim them to be a massive influence.

Warners try to capitalise on the BRITS publicity by releasing another Greatest Hits package. They get the tracklisting wrong on the CD sleeve, swap the channels, push all the levels up to the max and accidentally include George Michael's version of True Faith instead of NO's version.

NO, basking in a post-BRITS glow agree to do a couple of festival appearances to pay off their tax bills. Glastonbury is poor and the middle class Sophies and Jemimas in the crowd stand around looking bored and texting on their cellphones. Reading Festival goes better, but Barney struggles to remember the words and is going a bit blind, so needs his autocue projected into the sky like a bat-signal.

Band get together to rehearse some cast-off material from their side projects with a view to releasing it as new NO material. Barney spills Hookys pint. Hooky hits Barney with his 6-string bass. Steve rolls his eyes and leaves the room.

NO split until their next reformation 8 years later.
