Update! Just seen the video to the cover version.. It has ghost like smoke dancers which resemble the dancers/performers from the original True Faith video (stripey bloated suit folk) mixed with our man George vocoding along to the classic tune..! Text in or donate online for Comic Relief whatever your feelings towards this version... whats a pound, eh!?

My God if you can't get a certain no 1 on Comic Relief then that's a career in decline. Time for a hasty NO re-release which I'm sure will kick George's arse.

Your right, he does say that. It's just that nobody makes it's that far in the song to hear it.
George does have lovely manicured eyebrows and eyelashes in that video. Did they distort his face to make it look thinner? It is all kinda fascinatingly odd and unpleasant to watch and listen.

The big fucking question is why did he ruin the song with the treated vocals,I kinda like smoke effects in the video though.

This is very funny,
He could have done such a good job with this song, He is so talented and this is the best that he came up with, I think the sound of a toilet flushing with the background of a air conditioner humming sounds better than this crap.
Georg Michael explained at the gig in Cologne, why he has covered True Faith.
Der erstaunlichsten Coverversion im Programm, „True Faith“, schickt er die Geschichte voran, wie er 2010 aus dem Gefängnis kam und als erstes im Musikfernsehen diesen 80er-Jahre-Klassiker von New Order sah. Der Songtext habe all das auf den Punkt gebracht, was in seinem Leben in den vergangenen Jahren schief gelaufen sei, sagt Michael, und dann verwandelt er „True Faith“ in eine aufwühlende Gospelmesse, allerdings nicht mit seiner unverwechselbaren Soul-Stimme, sondern mit Autotunes so verfremdet, als sei es ein Stück von Cher (oder Hot Chip).
I hope someone from the crowd told George that no matter the explanation it's still a god awful cover version. The comparison to Hot Chip is a complete fucking disservice as they are a pretty good electronic band.
