Great interview and some nice (further) insight into the fuck up that was The Factory Remasters. Top bloke Mr Morris, he clearly was as exasperated with Warners over it all as the fans were so nice to have someone who gives a shit about the end product in there.
Never knew "Sawdust" was a Moby remix; always thought it was the original demo version for Movin' On - interesting.
Bring on the new Other Two EP...
His memory is very good, pherhaps he should write a Book about his time in the Biz.

In 1977, Stephen Morris answered a small ad for a drummer placed by a punk band named WARSAW. The story goes that when he met Ian Curtis, Bernard Sumner and Peter Hook outside Strangeways Prison, he thought Hooky was Sumner's dad! 
Now, I read this in your interview with GQ ... so is it true that Susan Boyle is going to do a JOY DIVISION cover?

So we got a new Other Two, Bad Lieutenant and the left overs from WFTSC sessions coming, that sounds very good to me.

Great interview sure, but I wouldn't hold me breath for the new releases, esp the WFTSC leftovers - it's left conveniently vague!

There is no way they going to lay those songs lying around, after a while they will get together somehow and make 3 or 4 more new songs along with the leftovers and release another album, just give them some time to cool off and do their side projects, just wait and you will see, there is money to be made out of it and they won't let that go.

Being "pre-MIDI" myself, I love reading about this tech stuff so much. We all wanted to be synth gods back then, but damn was it expensive.
Weird how the interview made me think of the Police; "Every Breath You Take" was recorded in a similar way -- each drum in a different pass, with a DMX (the Blue Monday kick) standing in for the kick drum.
fantastic interview, lots of new things to digest and no tjust the same old stuff. I've met the bloke and he is one sound guy, lots of respect to mr Morris. And yes tasty fish should have been a big hit.

This interview made my day as well, I practically squealed. Stephen is just so wonderful in interviews.
