Not really news. If said club was allegedly coining it from using the Hacienda logo all over the shop as is claimed then Hooky probably has a legal point somewhere along the line. Mr Masters is definitely one of Hooky's management team and a semi-regular poster on here I believe.
Doesn't make either side look particularly brilliant but these things rarely do.

Yes, he's protecting his copyright so he can be the only person boring us all senseless with Hac related marketing/merchandising/books/nights etc etc etc....
I think they should simply make the argument that their San Francisco Hacienda night makes a profit, ergo it clearly has nothing to do with the other Hacienda.
That said, it still seems a bit silly to shut down what's essentially a DJ night that sounds like a tribute even though the music doesn't sound like it's totally "Hacienda-ish".
