A good old-fashioned NOOL prediction thread started probably by the only person who gives a toss, but still, I think TOTAL will do very well with the publicity of late.

Previous Compilations Performance: Substance - No.3, August 1987 The Best Of New Order - No.4, November 1994 The Rest Of New Order - No.5, August 1995 Singles - No.14, October 2005

Recent Albums Performance: Get Ready - No.6, October 2001 Waiting For The Sirens' Call - No.5, March 2005

Who is thinks it won't be a top 10 entry?

I reckon it'll go in like a bullet at number 67... if it's lucky.

NO fans will have too much sense to buy another compilation (and we all have the tracks already, apart from Hellbent, which you could download as an individual track). People who are not already NO fans? Well, I don't know how much interest there is anymore unfortunately. Even with loads of promo and press interest around WFTSC, it's sales weren't exactly spectacular..... just the NO fans, plus a few other curious people.

Shame really, but I'll be happy to be proved wrong.

I'm saying somewhere in the top 20.

Then the following week it will drop like a stone.

Always the way with NO releases, none of the later ones bothered the charts much after the initial release week. Especially the Warners-era releases.

Even with my fave band The Bunnymen, I couldn't give a stuff what their chart positions are anymore..... charts are rubbish and completely irrelevant now.

Who honestly still cares about what gets in the charts?

Surely it would be better geting rid of charts altogether - they're such a load of unmitigating wank - just meaningless sets of numbers that constitute a marketing man's wet dream, no more no less.

Don't think there is a mid week chart for albums - its only singles. If you check the BBC site the album chart is dated the 5th June whereas the singles one is 8th June.

The midweek album chart is in the chart update bit. Shows the arctic monkeys album as number one that came out on Monday

SLC is the 12" version. just listening to it on spotify.

actually wouldn't Once (Again) be a better title for the CD?

'Total' has entered the UK Albums chart at No.51. I'm a bit surprised as I thought it would at least make the Top 40. Oh well, at least it did chart though!...

Some good albums in the chart though, notably Tom Vek and Friendly Fires.
