Rorschach wrote: It could be argued that there are approx 4 incarnations of Neworder:

#1 - Hook, Morris, Sumner (1980 "from the Ashes Neworder") #2 - Gilbert, Hook, Morris, Sumner (1980-2001 "Neworder") #3 - Hook, Morris, Sumner, Cunningham (2001-2006 "Dadrock Neworder") #4 - Gilbert, Morris, Sumner, Cunningham, Chapman (2011-? "Charity Gig Neworder")

Only #2 constitues absolute Neworder but I'd be happy to watch any of them, particularly now Gillian's back.

Notes: Doesn't take into account numerous spats/breaks or occasional part-memberships. Term 'Dadrock' is used jovially.

I've been recently told by someone in the industry that NO had secretly re-formed and was in for a new album and a tour next Spring. Is that all bullshit or are they really hiding their cards well?

IMO?....No,it fookin' doesn't :nonono:

just be grateful this isn't the Deep Purple fansite. they got upto Mark VII band in 1979... one in, ,one out, one out, one back in, in 34 years ain't bad. reminds me of that Horrible histories song about Henry VIII's wives, divorced, beheaded, died...not quite the same order...

Or version 6 if you include the brief period between Gillian leaving and touring with Corgan [essentially the 1.0 line-up]

Sorry couldn't resist :evil4:

You might vey well, yes but I judged Billy to be a guest, not a member.
This is why I took care to say "approx" - I am aware of my peers on here! :D

You could have been right, but in this occasion, I've been informed by chance in the mountain highs. It was a real question, though, as I had been told no date for the event. So it's quite funny they announced it 2 days after my post.

All Steve is missing in that picture above - judging from his posture - is the maraccas.

I know Barney beat him to it in late 1988 on TOTP, and all that.....
