Anyone know where I can get a brand new copy of the Japan 1985 gig "Pumped Full of Drugs" on DVD? Apart from Ebay. As the sites HMV Japan and CDJapan say it is out of print :( Thanks.

Amazon Japan don't stock it. They just have a placeholder page for the DVD and offer "marketplace" I.e. second hand or reseller options from private sellers.
I think this DVD is basically out of print now so you'll be hard pressed to find normal retailers selling copies hence why HMV and Amazon no longer have it.
Why rule out Ebay? After a quick search I can see one PFD DVD on Buy It Now ($11) located in Australia. Reasonable shipping fees. That's probably cheaper than what HMV wanted when they stocked it. I bought mine about 4-5 years ago now.
The seller only accepts PayPal for international buyers and I don't really want to use PayPal. Don't have an account on PayPal and don't want to use it unfortunately, which is quite a hassle, just my opinion really :\ohwell:
If you go the Amazon JP Marketplace way you may find yourself being asked questions and receiving invoices in Japanese though!
Understand your concerns about PayPal but I've been using it for 10 years and never had a problem with it. Each to their own however...
Yes, don't really want to sign up for PayPal. May resort to buying the VHS off Amazon UK, but really want to obtain the DVD version.
That seller on Ebay lists that they accept postal orders.
It's a bit old fashioned and may take twice as long but just ask if you can send him a postal order. Get one down your local PO.
Thanks for the advice NotAMod, however I did email that seller a few days ago and the reply was that he only accepts PayPal for international buyers outside Australia :(
You do know that you don't actually need to have a Paypal account to pay by Paypal? 
You can just enter in your credit card details for a one-off purchase.
Didn't know that, but doesn't that depend on the seller if they accept direct credit/debit card payments rather than via PayPal?

I'm not trying to be a smart alec, but it sounds a bit like you don't know exactly what PayPay is. If you're willing to give the seller your credit card details you surely must be happier going through PayPal?
I'd rather not give the seller my credit/bank details, I know PayPal is a safer way as it does not reveal them to the seller. The only thing I am concerned about is that PayPal stores my details - I'd rather treat each transaction as a one off payment, so for example I can top up my account with a certain amount of cash to use - I don't want to permanantly link my card to PayPal. I'm not sure if that is possible.

PayPal is a great institution. I couldn't have done a lot of international purchases without it.
I understand that one can be anxious to register there, but if you want to buy rare stuff you'll have to do it I suppose. ;)
And like others said before: You don't even need to make an account. A credit card is enough to pay with PayPal. And without account your details will not be saved - so what is your problem?

Fully agree, they are a great secure way of buying anything. Just be careful of the fake emails that you might get from folk pretending to be Paypal wanting your bank details. Only ever contact Paypal through the genuine site.

I purchased the 2003 pressing of the DVD new and at retail price from HMV Japan in June 2009. As noted above, it's now out of print. I had no idea at the time that it was going out of print. I must have lucked out and bought one of the few remaining copies.
It's a bit pricey, but there's a copy of the original 2001 pressing up for sale on Discogs for $60.

Well, for ebay they force you to make a PayPal account to purchase stuff - cannot do a 'one time' purchase unfortunately. Ah well :/
FFS! You spend your time asking people how you REALLY want a Japanese PFD... and how much it MEANS to you, then you hit a small hurdle like Paypal (which EVERYone dismisses any misconceptions you might have)... you whine like my grandma when she needs to use the cable remote.
If yer waiting for PFD to show up so you can take yer horse and buggy down to it, barter over the cost by trading with eggs and fish... you'll be waiting quite a long time.
