Have any of you told Bernard, Steve and Gillian they're going to be touring beyond these 2 gigs and/or re-branding Bad Lieutenant's new material as New Order? Someone needs to tell them because that's clearly what will be happening; NOOL has spoken (!)

I'd laugh my arse off if they did these two charity gigs and then announced it was "a nice full stop for New Order" and then went back to Bad Lieutenant. It's not so far fetched

That's bullshit. You don't know anything about the deals between Hooky & The Other 3

It seems strange that The Other 3 would go through all of that "dirty, dirty stuff"--as Hooky put it in a recent interview--to have control over the name New Order for just 2 benefit concerts.

Was Gillian involved in the Bad Lieu recordings? If so, then it is, legally (so it seems), New Order...

"It's not so far fetched" means just that, it could happen. Plus I didn't say I had any knowledge of their dealings. Of course I don't, you tit.

I was trying to highlight that some fans have made up their minds about what supposedly will be happening without knowing any of the facts behind the scenes. Speaking hypothetically, it's very possible they could do what I wrote. They could also do something completely different and continue with the NO name. Only time will tell as the Other Three haven't given interviews since the announcement.

Look up "hypothesis" in the English dictionary, Julio. You might learn something.

You still haven't given any evidence or links for what you posted on this thread a few days ago regarding the "rumours" that New Order are releasing Bad Lieutenant's material as their own. As you can't back it up, I guess that's bullshit then.

No idea , but it makes sense to release the future album as New Order instead of Bad Lieutenant. 1/ More sales 2/ More publicity in the media 3/ Bigger venues if they decide to tour 4/ It will piss Hooky off 5/ It means they have got rid of the other singer (can't remember his name)

Bernard Sumner did say at the Manchester International Festival that the album was nearly complete and should be ready early next year. Or maybe the album he is writing with Stuart Price will be a future New Order album.

I totally agree, it's entirely feasible that this may happen but my point was some people are assuming that it will be happening based on two charity gigs and no further info from the "Other Three" camp. Just recommending a bit of calm is all.

There's still been no formal announcement that Bad Lieutenant have disbanded either. I'd actually feel a bit sorry for Jake Evans because he's a nice chap but his vocals would not fit into New Order's setup. He's got more of a Jimi Goodwin-esque vocal.

Julio's earlier reply made it sound like he knew of a source we didn't know about  so I was asking if he could link where he heard it, which he can't so best taken with a pinch of salt.

No one is saying he knows what WILL happen. We are all free to speculate here on NOOL. Will it really happen or not - who cares. People just express what's in their heads due to the lack of information from the other three. For a long while nothing new or exciting was posted on NOOL anyway (um... since Freebass' breakup I think).

Is he called Jake Evans  I had no idea. His vocal style doesn't work and just reminds me of a dull indie singer.

Julio talking nonsense  Thats not like him
