I think he's probably referring to bringing in Rowetta to sing a couple of numbers and the use of a proper orchestra at a couple of live dates (Goodwood? I believe). Though it's a matter of opinion as to whether that makes what he's doing more "arty" or "edgey" as a result.

It's not a regular thing which features at The Light's gigs so I believe (could be wrong) that it was simply a one off for the Goodwood appearance as it was being recorded for a live album.

I would also think that he'd bring in Bez to shake a few maraccas into the bargain - really liven things up!
