I know most people don't care and they are going to make fun of me but I was very upset that they didn't edit out the profanity that Bernard uses in the troxy album, especially after the perfect kiss, when he uses the C#$T word, that really upset me, I know they use profanity in interviews and I can let go of an occasional F word but the C#$T word really upset me, I wished that I hadn't bought 2 copies of the album, again I know most people don't care and think that there is NOTHING wrong in saying PROFANE and FILTHY things but I am not like that, I am sorry if I am being rude but I have to be honest.

no one should make fun of a principled opinion for a start.

i think the swear words are what make the performance human because people do say these things in life and its a lot better than miming and economical driven censorship. i know of several musicians who have political or social opinions that they would like to air but are afraid too because of being in the pocket or dropped by their label.

i dont agree with parental warnings about bad language but its a fair compromise ultimately. was there any warning on the cd?

Send both copies back and ask for a refund if you are that upset.

Or send them back, ask them to resticker the sleeves with "Parental Warning: The Singer Says 'Cunt' At Some Point" and get them to return them to you.

Reminds me of this sticker:

Personally I get more offended by people getting offended by profanity than the profanity itself. Could someone please put a sticker on this thread?

THESE DAYS WHAT IS WRONG IS RIGHT AND WHAT IS RIGHT IS WRONG. Sad but that's the world that we live in, just look at the responses from people on this forum.

What about "When I was a very small boy, Michael Jackson played with me" and "They're all taking drugs with me" on True Faith (Reading 93) and "If it wasn't for your big pennis I'd be heavenly person today" on Blue Monday (Reading 98)? :D

Come on, Bernard never washed his mouth lads! :evil4:

Linus : You could maybe sell the second copy of the CD on ebay. I don't see the point in buying multiple copies anyway..

Aren't you being a bit precious? I'm all for respecting opinions but when you're an adult and posting on a music forum populated by adults (many of them grizzled Northerners) it just seems naive to complain about swear words and naive to think you won't get some light-hearted stick for it. If someone who gets emotional or overly-sensitive about swear words used (usually in jest) by someone else, and that is deemed ridiculous by the majority, I don't see it as the fault of the majority but something the guy with the problem needs to work on.
