If you don't like swearing you should stop listening to New Order live recordings or going to gigs.

It's not even the first time the word "cunt" is featured in an official New Order release. Have you seen "Pumped Full of Drugs" concert video before? Bernard says "Turn this light off, you cunt" around 3:33 in "Blue Monday".

Every little "cunts" when I am with you

Would "pussy" have been a better choice?

I didn't expect Linus to react like this. Relax and enjoy the music! Is Linus truly offended, or is he just shocked at Bernard swearing? He's been on these forums for a while, and it's obvious that there are people here that use words like cunt and whatever else. Besides every female has a cunt, and sometimes people are called a cunt, or get accused of acting like one. That's life.

If the Troxy show was a New York gig and Linus was in the audience when Barney uttered the Cunty word after Perfect Kiss what would he have done? Cried? Vomited? Demanded money back? Left? Screamed "DISGUSTED!" at the stage?

This is the funniest thread I've read on NOOL in years

I can't say I like Barney's choice of words much either, but as others have pointed out, it's nothing new.

funny...i've always thought (like Jarvo did) that Linus was Bernard ..... umm, maybe sales for Troxy CDs a bit slow?? :)

I don't see why adults should complain about the profanity, it is a bit precious. But then I don't think Bernard's comment was necessary either.

I was glad my children weren't in the room when I listened to the album for the first time, I am fairly certain I don't want either of them picking up that word at a young age.

Sid Vicious: "I've met the man on the street, and he's a c~nt"

This was as I remember a quote Tony Wilson used throw out sometimes in interviews,How he would laugh if he could read this thread..

Didn't Ian said "that word" to Tony because he didn't put them on the telly?

Wow, that was one of my fave moments on the entire album. I thought the intersong repartee was pretty entertaining this time around.

Does the OP appreciate the area the band hail from, the punk era in general and the sort of self-deprecating humour over their history? This may help ready his constitution for this kind of stuff in future. There are some reasonable films that document all this, such as Control, 24 Hour Party People, Grant Gee's Joy Division, etc.

Enough people stop dragging this dead horse around for no reason , I was just voicing my opinion and didn't want to make a big deal, no matter what people my opinion won't change , VULGAR and PROFANE language is not acceptable in my opinion, if it acceptable to you then you have no problem saying it in front of your parents or kids.

Why anyone would wanna buy this is beyond me, this incarnation should be called Pension Fund, go and check out the bootlegs from 63 - 85 that WAS New Order :thumb:

You can't start a thread giving your opinion then complain that people don't agree and ask them to stop :banghead:

In a bit of fairness to Linus, in the US, the c-word is far more offensive than it seems to be in the UK, at least that's my impression.

Fuck off.

If you want to live in a sanitised, child-friendly, no-swearing world, go live in a padded cell and watch Pixar movies forever. If Bernard wants to use the word CUNT, he can. If he wants to sing "It's the last FUCKING time", he can. if he wants to call a song "I've Got A Cock The Size Of The M1", fine. I'd far rather live in his world, than one where all the rude words are bleeped out and our genitals replaced with shiny blue stars.

Thank You for being so kind, Mark

Don't worry I still think your remixes are still great especially the Sink or Swim and TOF ones
