It's a struggle for me to go and visit friends who live a mile away at the minute...never mind go rioting with you lot. Maybe I am judging on recordings, but then I'm judging recordings against recordings so all is fair.
As for "living in his bedroom"....I don't, funny enough, I live in my living room. And I suggest you try it some time and then see how you like being mocked for it.
Now go, enjoy the version of the band if you like, I'm all for it, knock yourselves out.....hell even I'M enjoying the newly revitalised Bernard. I don't fancy it myself, but wish the rest of you nothing but great times doing your thing.

Hooky is just hooked on his own anger, bitterness and wretched inability to see the friends he dumped go on with their lives. I'm sure he expected them to scurry-away and knock-about in a few side projects that got a few appreciative nods, but nothing substantial.
He thought he was New Order. That they couldn't possibly continue to mean anything to anyone after he left.

I should point out that I don't agree with the comments Hooky has made about taking the band to court, I think they should just split, he can do his stuff, they can do their stuff, no need for all the public arguments. I just don't like the lead bass part not being played live, I always thought phil mimed the keys on crystal too, I'm glad that's stopped now that Gillians back.

As Hooky well knows, New Order have been using prerecorded parts for years, on all instruments. Including his bass. Be interesting to hear why he thinks they shouldn't do that now. He will of course be aware that Stuart Price has re-done tracks such as Round and Round, technology having changed somewhat since the Technique era, and as such the bass will not be his original recordings.....

And Tom has been "miming" along to Hooky in their live NO / JD songs for a few years in Bad Lt without complaint.

It was Savage quoting Tony or Rob. And the reference to Pink Floyd would be even more sly today if Bernard would leave and the rest would continue as New Order (with Hooky taking over vocals) :)

When did Tony say it, any idea?
No idea, it was spoken in the documentary as something Wilson said to Savage specifically and so not on film. Who knows in that regard. Presumably in the early 80s.
