I have his 'one-song wonder' CD - ELEKTRIK MUSIK 'Esperanto'.....yeah, about 10 years ago....

no problem. Apparently Bartos is using the similar name 'Electric Music' now and has some new material. While surfing around today I saw some various fan sites and stuff but I must say the official site \www.kraftwerk.com is pretty amazing, it's probably the best website for a band that I've ever seen.

Well I sort of agree with a, I would agree with b, and I totally would agree with 4. But I can't talk much. I was young and dumb in the mid 1980's and missed the chance to see New Order, OMD, and Depeche Mode all in one show... my best friend went and of course I will never have that chance ever... since OMD is basically broke, Depeche Mode is now bigger than NO (in the US anyway) so any two of these bands will not play together again, let alone all 3.

Saw Kraftwerk in Sheffield in 1981 and then again in 1991 (I think those were the correct dates). As stated - they were awesome, though I'm sure they played the same set both nights. I'd recommend Wolfgang Flur's recent book about his time in the band (I Was A Robot). Great insight into Schneider and Hutter. Thought the bit about his wanking contest a bit gross though.

I saw OMD many times ( they're frequent visitors to Down Under ) back in 80's.....but my most memorable was my first OMD show on their Junk Culture tour...they played at our very own run-down Palais Royale in steeltown Newcastle, Australia.....and one of my mate came out of the public toilet wearing a big smile....apparently Andy McCluskey was only next to him at the urinal trough zipping up his pants, etc....And OMD was that small-time that no one noticed him using the public toilet just before OMD got on stage.....

When i first saw them play BLACKBURN'S KING GEORGES HALL in about 81 PAUL HUMPHREYS strode into the pub across from the HALL and nobody paid him any attention at all.:D Great concert it was too with MESSAGES being brilliant at that time.

Yeah...I can imagine MESSAGES can be brilliant with those loud synths and tinkling noise.....

I thought OMD was really great, coupled with Peter Saville's artwork, etc......until they went LOCOMOTION..( trumpets?...or horns...female vocalists, etc....duh!! ...same impression when I first heard CRYSTAL....)

As far as I'm aware, Mr Cunngham isn't currently involved in the studio work.

The other obvious question is how involved is Gill in proceedings??? This will have a huge bearing on the sound of the album.

SWEET - Junk Culture is my 2nd fav OMD album.

kraftwerk did kick their asses by german punks in the late 70's.

and they did many things where you would say: "FUCK YOU!"

but let me say: they did (!) great music
