Don't be too hard on your self because these are only 30 second clips, give a good a listens when it comes out and you never know.

  1. I'll Stay with You (4.22)
  2. Sugarcane (4.47)
  3. Recoil (5.08)
  4. Californian Grass (4.38)
  5. Hellbent (4.28)
  6. Shake it Up (5.21)
  7. I've Got a Feeling (4.29)
  8. I Told You So (5.05)

Sure, i'll give it a lot of listens

I knew something was afoot when I logged in to find 18 people in Digi Republic...

... didn't suspect I'd be listening to some new Neworder though.

An 8 track, 38 minute album? It's just like 1981 again!

Great news, an album in 2013 and maybe another in 2014. From first listen sounds pretty good, looking forward to the physical release. Hopefully a small uk tour next year and maybe just maybe they,ll make friends with hooky again

They should release a single off of The Lost Sirens. I'll Stay With You sounds pretty damn good. I'm pumped this is their first major release since I became a fan!!

😄 Also, its release will pretty much bring about the death of the forum because this topic has pretty much kept it going now for yonks.

Oh, actually, I see Hooky has more interviews lined up in the New Year so thats alright then.

Sent emails to the relevant people and one in particular who hasnt replied yet, hardly suprising really.

Conflicting release dates now too Recordstore is now saying 14th of Jan which would make more sense.

News to follow as soon as i find out,erm shouldnt the wemaster of THIS site be posting this very message?

Well, I'll be damned. I actually like these-- musically, anyway. The lyrics (from what I can hear of them, anyway) seem to be more of the 'hey man, you're my brother' stuff, which I can take or leave. If these were instrumentals, I'd love them.

Well, just like the last album, I'd love to have the instrumentals of these.

Hmmmm, "i'll stay with you" sounds ok-ish... apart from that, I think I'll pass.

Keepin' the faith though and hoping their next proper album will be a good 'un.

Hmm I can definitely tell that they are DEMOS!Very stripped down production etc. It's a shame we never got to hear them finished, more people would probably like them. They certainly aren't bad though... but I see them as the link between WFTSC and NCAT with their simplicity and more rocky feel.I've had it on order on Amazon for what feels like about 2 years. I ordered it on vinyl at the time, haven't even got the record player set up anymore! The mix of "I Told You So" reminds me of Movement-era New Order with the drums. A zillion miles away from the white-boy reggae version I'm used to hearing!

I wish someone would bloody boost the size of the default font on this forum.

I've heard demo versions by other artists that are far more stripped down than these songs. But I'm not too disappointed. I ordered the CD only version, by the way.

Sounds like what you'd expect if sirens had been two discs instead of one; pretty good, not amazing though. Overall nice stuff, very glad it's finally on it's way.

I really like the mix of 'I Told You So'. It is the Stuart Price AKA Jacques LuCont mix that was originally out on the 12x12 vinyl campaign about six years ago.

isn't that "Blue Monday" ? (the most depressing day of the year) Or is that the third Monday in January, traditionally?

Still not sure why IToldYouSo is on there. It's not a lost siren.

Yep. How apropos.

The tracks sound a load of bobbins from the clips but that was to be expected. The point is Hooky's attempts to block the release have failed, that's all that matters. New Order 1 Hooky 0.

Or has he got the percentage deal he wanted?

Fair point Coops. And at the risk of sounding a bit "UN", surely it's better to come to an agreement than to win a battle...

Has anyone else noticed that Republic, Get Ready, and Waiting for the Sirens' Call are now out of print, at least in the US? Bodes well for the London years reissues.

Is this still coming out on vinyl too, or only CD now ? Just spent a small fortune repairing my turntable . . . . . .
