i'm afraid it was all a mistake, its all gone
sorry...
start up a new topic among yourselves...
okay.... here is one... aren't those Caligula samples cool in Murder? i wonder whose idea that was? Gillian's?
?
ok, now my posts look stupid and off topic now that you edited it. for the record, i will like to say that this topic was blank with no topic.
as for the sample question, yes, i do believe it's from caligua. anyone had the stomach to watch it? i hear it's right up there with "i spit on your grave" for it's overall so-gory-i-dare-you-to-stomach-my-movie quality.

I always thought it was cool how they sampled Caligula for the song. Then I actually saw the movie and wondered which one had the idea of slapping on soundbites from a cheap Italian soft-core porn, and it made me respect them even more.

it's italian? well, it's got somewhat of a nortorious reputation as just plain gross. again, anyone seen it? i've haven't.:dead:
it was braodcast on terrestial tv in the uk recently, caught a bit of it, has some famous people in it mind.
course i only watched it to spot the new order samples & not for the tits or anything.
i know the movie caligula was bankrolled by penthouse magazine and its boss bob guiccione sr. but im not sure it was made in italy

I think apart from Malcolm McDowell, Peter O'Toole, John Gielgud, and the Penthouse models, the cast was all Italian, which may be why I infered it was made in Italy. I could be wrong, however. No matter what country it comes from, it's lousy....(of course the tits weren't bad, but cinematically...)

arse, arse, arse
I acually watched it because Malcolm McDowell was in it and I like him as a bad guy (no one tops him in A Clockwork Orange, except maybe Darth Vader in ESB)
Anyways, yes its bad, whatever film they shot it on could have been better using a camcorder with a betamax tape.
The acting is horrible, the sets are pretty cool and oh yea, theres lots of boobies and ....hmm how shall I put it, womens (and mens) privates all over the place.
I haven't heard Murder enough times to realize that Caligula was sampled in it. Shame on me.
hey, so does this mean NO started the trend of sampling horror/gore movies in ominous sounding songs, ala industrial bands like Skinny Puppy, Velvet Acid Christ? two of my favs by the way... ![]()
I just noticed that John Lehmann forgot to post his favourite question in this thread. So here it is: Did anybody notice that Love Vigilantes is not part of the box set?

I was playing 'Murder' last night, a little stoned, and wondering if New Order ever played this one live? I reckon it would kick, rather somewhat, if done so.
